Young, hip staff and menu looked promising. Food order came out wrong and staff was not at all apologetic, they just took it away and brought the correct order, I guess being in my 50's I have a different expectation of service. Chowder was very watery and hot chicken was so drenched in hot sauce that you could not taste chicken at all. Biscuits were good though they looked over baked

Do you like a salt lick? Then this is the restaurant for you. Food unfortunately was overly salted - we had appetizers, a fish and pasta dish - all were over salted and overly sauced. This place has a great atmosphere and wine & beer list but I wouldn’t eat here again.

Beautiful evening spent by their outdoor fireplace. Great service and atmosphere. Chicken Corn chowder was amazing as were the biscuits, scallops, lobster toast and drinks especially the Frose'. The hotel even serves delicious chocolate chip cookies to their guests. It was the perfect start to our weekend getaway just after labor day.

We've been to the Blue Hen numerous times and love the food there esp the fried chicken. As usual my kids got their chicken tenders perfectly cooked. Unfortunately my order of the fried chicken was not only over done (almost burnt) but it was so oily that I had to use multiple napkins to squeeze the oil from the chicken to make it more edible.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Service was awful. The manager refused to speak to my party when there was issues with many tables getting food before us, as our server forgot to put in our food and couldn’t even apologize! In the managers exact words “I’m not turning around to speak to her”. Are you serious? The unprofessionalism is disturbing. You are supposed to be a manager, act like one. Waste of time and money. Sad to say this place used to be a favorite spot.

Service was phenom. Frosé was SO good. Food was delish. I only went for Happy Hour (starts at 4!) and makes me want to return for full dinner.

After being recommended this restaurant & eating there, I unfortunately got food poisoning. The symptoms came on a few hours after eating the crab cake sandwich at the Blue Hen. I’m currently still battling with the symptoms. Folks that I shared the meal with also complained of similar symptoms. Beware if you choose to eat here.
