The host was very friendly/welcoming. We asked for an outside table but when we went out, the wind was too strong. We went back in and the host sat us immediately in the DR. Our server was very good. Food was very good and it was a pleasant lunch. When we were walking out another person behind the host desk asked how everything was and wished us a good day after thanking us for coming in.

This was not a great experience tonight. We waited over 45 minutes for our dinner. You could tell the meal had sat under the beat lamps for some time as most of our meal was cool to cold and my chicken tenders were extremely dry. The waiter blamed it on the kitchen but we had also seen other meals come out at the normal quick pace. Ours must have set under heat lamps for quite some time.

The view is like nothing I've ever seen in RB. We will be back! My husband didn't enjoy either his burger or their waffle fries because it was all too “seasoned” so I hope they'll eventually add regular fries to their offerings. Kids menu was great. We all had a lovely time and had a lovely server.

View and location are perfect. Food not so much. Crab dip was too salty to eat. My husband had the steak which was tough and unseasoned. The side vegs were cold. I had the jerk chicken which was good. The tap system was down so no draft beer. Maybe it was just a bad night? Unfortunately we won't try again as there are so many great places to eat in the area.

Our waitress T was the worst waitress I have ever experienced. She rushed us, she gave us the feeling that we were inconveniencing her that we were at the restaurant . Her long fingernails were a turn off in the food industry . She needs to find another job!! The vegetables were overcooked, they did not serve our food all together!! Worst experience ever. The best thing was the view!!! Will never go back!!

This was our first time to your restaurant. The atmosphere and service was fine. Food could have been better. One person in our party ordered the chicken bowl and was really disappointed the pineapple was canned and not fresh. The crab dip flat bread did not taste like it was made with fresh crab - a little too fishy tasting. We did not go to the bar but the atmosphere there looked fun and would be a good place to go for a happy hour.

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! The entire team, especially Madison and Morgan are outstanding! They make you feel like you belong and are happy to help you. They are excellent!! The food is great!

I would not call the highest noise level energetic. I would describe it as annoying. The hostess was clueless to Open Table preferences. We indicated it was our anniversary dinner and she put us right next to a long table that came in right after us that seated about 20 people when there were plenty of other tables further away. She then went on to seat other guests right next to the large LOUD group when it was not necessary. Our waitress did move us further away but she moved on to be run ragged with the influx of diners. Our food came out quickly but we waited way to long to finally pay & leave. The food overall was good. I'm sure the actual wait staff were trying the best they could.

Vacation started tonight with tasty Crushes and calamari that was sooo fresh prepared with just a little spice. I had the blackened shrimp tacos with amazingly perfectly crispy waffle fries and my husband had blacked mahi-mahi tacos with aforementioned fries. Both varieties of tacos were the right blends of protein and spice. Unfortunately we did not get dessert. Btw A shout out to waitress Kathy(from Philly) who was funny and personable. Go while it is light outside because the view is amazing!!

First of all, I have to say that the food was very good. We order the Watermelon Mule and they were delicious. We ordered the Brussel Sprouts as an appetizer and they were very good. They were flash fried, so they had a delightful crunch combined with the very tasty bacon dressing. My husband ordered the fish and chips and he raved about it. The fish was perfectly done. Very crisp, (but not greasy) and very flavorful and flaky on the inside. I order the grilled Mahi Mahi tacos, and they were also very good. The issue we had was with the service and the timing of the food delivered to the table. Our drinks arrived quickly after we placed our order. Before we had a chance to sip them leisurely, our Brussel Sprouts appeitizer arrived. That would be OK, if not for the fact that our entrees arrived no more than 5 minutes after our appetizer arrived. So we ended up having all these plates and drinks jammed on our table. When I mentioned to the server that I would have preferred that the delivery of the entrees be spaced out a bit, his response was "Our kitchen is very efficient". I thought that was a completely clueless response. In addition, the woman hostess who seated us acted as if she wanted to be anywhere but in that restaurant. She never smiled and barley spoke a word. When we left, she never looked up from her little podium and never said a word to us. The bottom line is that the food here is really good, but the inept service really soured the dining experience.

Had lunch and all the food we ordered was really delicious. The view is great overlooking the boardwalk and ocean. I would love to come back when it is a little cooler and all of the big sliding glass doors are open to the sea breeze. Our server was very attentive.

The food was mediocre at best, the appetizers and dinner arrived at the same time, one cocktail (vodka gimlet) was not made right, and we had to ask for horseradish for the oysters, which should have been included. Very disappointing. Would not recommend.

Had an amazing long lunch last Sunday. The ambiance and the view are simply stunning. We had interesting cocktails and Prosecco with the perfectly prepared fried calamari, and then some wine with the Spinach and Goat Cheese flatbread. The best thing of all, though was Kathy who took care of us like we'd been best friends forever. Strongly recommend checking out Above the Dunes the next time you need a new restaurant to try in Rehoboth Beach, DE!

The Noise level is off the chart as hard surfaces on floor, walls and ceiling contribute. Staff is overwhelmed with appetizers not showing up nor could we find our waitress for 15 min. One of the six dinners not show up for 14 mi utes so cold food for five while we waited and waited.

The food was delicious! My husband and I each had the salad w/ berries and topped it w/ grilled chicken. Chicken was grilled perfectly and the greens/berries/blue cheese all fresh and crisp balanced w/ a nice citrus dressing. Our table shared the flatbread w/ caramelized onions and it was loaded and excellent. We noticed the drinks were priced fairly, considering other local restaurants. Service was very good. The atmosphere is bright, pleasant and beachy with the aqua accents. Our issue was it was too bright for night time relaxed “dining”. It was feeling a bit cafeteriaish. We asked, but no dimmer. Also, b/c of the bright inside, we could have been anywhere, as you could not see outside and the doors were closed. O'bie's is open air, and I feel Dunes should take advantage of their position, by opening the doors for the breeze and surf. Maybe a parameter rule on humidity and temperature. They also have a large, beautiful bar. If they are going to remain open through the fall, bigger TVs, which would fit the wall would be in order for football/sports watching.
