I really wanted to like the Vineyard...but the bad outweighs the good. Here's why. Let's start with the good. They have a great wine list (as to be expected for a wine bar) - and they offer 3oz pours. That is perfect for people like my husband and I who like trying lots of different wines but don't want to get sloshed...the 3oz option is perfect. NOTE: because they offer the 3oz pours, they won't offer you a 'taste.' From a business standpoint, this makes a lot of sense; I'm sure there is a lot of wine wasted that doesn't get paid for when a customer asks for a taste. The other good thing about the Vineyard was our bartender, Ellie. She was personable and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed her service. Now, the less good...when we arrived around 7pm on a Saturday night (Memorial Day weekend), the restaurant was about half-full and the bar was almost full, but we were able to find seats - however, the bar emptied out after we were there for about 30 minutes. I know the Vineyard is new but I was surprised to see the dining room so empty on such a busy evening. I think I know why...the food was meh. It wasn't bad, but in a town like Rehoboth, you definitely need to step up your food game. We definitely liked our appetizers and dessert better than our entrée. Our appetizer was a mushroom tart, which was well-prepared and had a nice flavor. For our main meal, we ordered the short ribs with butternut squash ravioli. This dish just didn't work. First, it was almost like a stew - lots of liquid. The short rib was prepared nicely, but it just didn't pair well with butternut squash ravioli - the ravioli was too sweet for the short rib. At Ellie's suggestion, we ordered the lemon cake for dessert - this was light and delicious. Towards the end of our meal, a few people came in and sat at the bar and had wine and the "wine ice cream." As I mentioned, the bar was nearly full when we got there, was empty during our meal, and filled up a bit again around dessert time, which makes sense as the Vineyard's strengths are more of the wine/appetizer/dessert variety. The other issue I have with the Vineyard was the service. As I mentioned, Ellie was great. But, some of the other servers definitely seemed new and in need of training. They were constantly approaching Ellie and asking questions and at different points in the evening seemed very frazzled and/or annoyed. Certainly not the relaxing vibe I was hoping for. Bottom line - try it for the wine selection, potentially appetizers, and dessert. Go somewhere else for dinner.

This was our second visit here. The first time was in November. When we walked in the door, Ellie greeted us with "welcome back!" And she said remembered we were from PA, and she also remembered some other details of our last visit! Wow! And she is fantastic! We had wine and the brie, and it did not disappoint! We had hoped to get back another time during this visit, but there just wasn't enough time! Next time it will be our first stop! The wine list is endless, and the service doesn't get any better!

Went for their sunday special "afternoon in Barcelona" with tapas and wine deals. We were with another couple and tapas were excellent and tried a variety of Spanish wines, great way to spend 4 hours eating, drinking, and talking. Desserts are very good also. Very reasonable prices and terrific selection of wines from all over.

Wine selection is extensive, many available by the glass. Food was delicious. Everyone's friendly and service is great. It was my first stop, I'll be back.

Much fun sampling different wines from the wide-ranging list. Food choices creative and tasty. Especially liked mushroom tart and salmon Wellington. Numerous dishes have unnecessary meat but they will make without. If you get a cheese plate, don't miss thr the Beemster.

Went there on 10/2/18 and it was wonderful! I had the watermelon salad and my husband had the caesar, both delicious. For main course we had chicken crab parpadelle and Meatballs En Croute. Excellent! Cheesecake ended our meal with coffee and we left fat and happy. Plate size was perfect. Cost definitely equaled the meal. Not many people there (we are old and were there at 5:00pm on the dot), so service was exceptional. Would highly recomment.
