Quaint little neighborhood restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. Don't expect a modern facility. This restaurant will take you back in time where the server and cooks are all in the open and very friendly and service minded. Sit at the bar and chat away like you'd imagine it was done 40+ years ago. Food is cooked with love and it was such a cool experience. Try it out at least once to experience something different.
Great food, low price, fast and friendly service. I got the french toast, bacon, and a hamburger.
Both the food and atmosphere are incredible! The only thing that exceeds the greatness of the food is the hospitality of the owner and wait staff.
Good food, great service❤
Nice, homey place. Clean and stuffed with old timey stuff. Good breakfast. I'll be back.
Saw this place on Google, and decided to try it out. Great find! It is a throwback to the 60's. Family owned for over 50 years. Friendly service and neighborhood customers. Will definitely return when I'm in the area!
Quaint little breakfast/lunch place. Friendly service and okay food. Lots of bar seating and a couple booths.
Yelp asks "Is this place divey?" Tough question. If I answer "yes", will people think it's a greasy spoon with a layer of filth covering everything? If I answer "no", will people think it lacks charm? Look, this place is awesome. Good people, great atmosphere and good food. What more do you want?
Cannot say enough positive things about our experience at Angelos. We're on a road trip around the US and we try the iconic food of each state as we travel around. Scrapple was the food to try in Delaware and we are so grateful that Angelo's Luncheonette was the recommendation that popped up for us. Our kids have claimed it as their favorite food stop in the US. The service was unparalleled. Seriously the best staff that made our morning. Even the other customers were some of the friendliest and kindest people we've met in our travels. As we drove away they were waving through the window. It felt like a wonderful morning with family. Thanks so much Angelo's Luncheonette!!

Great atmosphere and food !
You live in Wilmington and haven't gone to Angelo's? This place is a gem, fantastic breakfast and lunch food, very reasonably priced and overall great atmosphere, makes you feel at home.
This is where all the locals go to hang out and swap stories. Great food great friends great service you should give it a try
Great stop for lunch and usually quick service. Muzzi makes it fun and the breakfast is always great on the weekend. A real diner feel.
Owner and his women staff couldn't have been nicer or more engaging. Told good stories too. Really enjoyed my cheesesteak omlet.
Great Food - Personal service...
Wonderful people that do what they do to make new friends. We enjoy the food too, but the people and atmosphere are what keep us coming back. Be sure to bring cash as they don't take cards (though they do have an old school atm available).
delicious food and very friendly staff!
50+ years in same location, same family. Good people and good food. Not getting any Michelin stars but that's not the kind of place it is. It's a worthy landmark.
Angelo’s is the classic lunch counter. Quality food with amazing service. It’s a glimpse back in time of the simpler days. Truly a neighbor gem.
A true gem. Angelo's has delicious, homemade food cooked up by Muzzi, the nicest man you'll ever meet. The pancakes are the best I've had anywhere. They'll make you anything you want, and everything is good. I usually get pancakes or a bacon egg and cheese on seeded rye, but I went for lunch once and ordered chicken salad. This was no typical diner chicken salad that's been sitting mushy in a cooler. They took fresh cooked chicken breast and made it fresh with just a few ingredients. Absolutely perfect! This place is really special. Good food, even better people.
Relatives took me here during a recent visit, and I can assure you we'll go again when I return to visit. Great food, neighborhood charm atmosphere, local's favorite, wonderful service, etc., etc., etc. You won't go wrong here!!
Fantastic neighborhood place with lots of charm and history! A must visit!!!
Great food, amazing & friendly staff!
Best restaurant with family appeal. All meals are catered to your needs. Always a welcome smile for everyone. Awesome place with memories created with each visit. Highly recommend to all.
One of my favorite spots in Wilmington! Delicious food! Priced moderately. Excellent service. Great neighborhood!
The decor is retro with lots of memorabilia. It's fun to look at while you wait for your food. We sat at the bar and chatted with the waitress. The luncheonette has that small town feel and you get the feeling that many are regulars. Angelo himself is still working there and very speedily prepping everyone's meals. This has your basic breakfast staples. If you don't feel like cooking and want it just like at home then this may be the place for you. I personally look for something different than what I can make.
Great food, friendly atmosphere, good prices. You don't find great local places like this anymore. I highly recommend it.
Simple breakfast and lunch items, but lovingly prepared and in an extraordinarily welcoming atmosphere
Angelo's was a pleasant surprise, we originally had other plans, but the location we were supposed to eat at didn't open on time. So as they say, the early bird catches the worm- we saw Angelo's up and running on our way, and thought it would be the perfect mom and pop type of breakfast joint to start our road trip off right. "Mom and Pop shop" isn't an idiom here, believe me they're keeping things old-school cool when it comes to decor, style, and most importantly Taste. Everything was made fresh, and cooked with a slow deliberacy that's often left on the wayside of modern society. I like to imagine, most people still remember that slow cooked food means more flavor. In the age of the 10-minute meal no matter where you're ordering from it's easy to forget. Angelo's on the other hand is a wonderful reminder that slow and steady can absolutely win the race. I kept things light- save space for a few other destinations and stops on the way out since DE is close enough to visit on a day trip, and a friend has family out this way so visiting again, is very likely. I opted for a McMuzzin (a take on MCD's mcmuffin) alongside Home fries. After all breakfast isn't /really/ breakfast without some type of fried potato to soak everything up. Let me start off by saying I'm normally not the biggest fan of English muffins, but i am a sucker for specialty sandwiches, and the McMuzzin was a pleasant surprise. The "muffin" was extremely fresh, extremely soft, buttered to the gills and ever so slightly toasted. If all English muffins came out like this, i think i'd be a lot bigger fan of them. Eggs were perfectly fried as well, 0 runniness, and the classic slapdash seasoning Salt and Pepper. Slapdash in thought though, not execution. remember how i mentioned slow and steady before? Pepper first, fried, and then ever so lightly salted afterwards, it makes all the difference in the world whereas flavor is concerned. You cant beat an open kitchen. There's something magical about seeing the food be made especially when you can understand and appreciate whats going into the proverbial crafting of your meal. Which is why i cant fault the lack of crispiness in the Taylor ham. Low and slow is the rule of thumb here, and it draws a lot of flavor out- believe me, Hatfield pork roll has never tasted so good. This mentality also extends to the Homefries potato and onion as well. Just enough structural soundness to stay on a fork to immediately fall apart in your mouth. Suffice to say food here is phenomenal, home-cooked goodness available for order. It doesn't revolutionize what breakfast is, but ill be damned if it isn't good. Outside of food, service is great, and the building is a window to the past, Americana would be an apropos description. My favorite quirk here however is the bathroom. The "Porcelain Throne" here is solely dedicated to The King. For the uninitiated, The King, is Elvis Presley, his kingdom, classic Rock and Roll. If your unfamiliar, you may also think it odd to dedicate a bathroom to a musician. Believe me it isn't- it's a dad joke in the making. The king died of cardiac arrest while on the toilet, making it a befitting memorial. That being said, rest assured i'll be back to Angelo's to time travel, sometime in the future. Flavor & Presentation 4.5/5 | Speed & Service 4.33/5 | Pricing & Portions 3/5 Overall 4/5
Perfect portion sizes for lunch, also the best prices in the area. Really great service, I could tell they appreciated my business, which unfortunately can be pretty rare these days. Cool lunch counter with a throwback vibe. I'll soon be stopping in to try out their breakfast.
Found this place by chance on a whim at the early stage of a weekend road trip with my buddies. The original stop although advertised as being open was closed. However at the end of it there was no mistake in coming here. We were promptly greeted at arrival by friendly smiling faces. The decor of Elvis and early Americana was great. The setup small but ample seating we opted for the counter. The food cooked to order and delicious. I went for 2 Eggs over medium with seeded rye toast, homefries and scrapple. All cooked in short order the chef keeping up conversation while attending to the hot griddle. In a way kind of diner throwback to yesteryear but the way more places should be. It made a great start for the trip. If I am ever in the area I'll surely be back.
This is a great local diner. I generally go for breakfast. They have a menu but they will generally make anything that you want. They have a few booths and a long counter as well. The food is good and well prepared. I am a local, so I enjoy the scrapple, egg and cheese sandwich. This is no frills but a great neighborhood spot to try.
Great atmosphere, great people, and good food at good prices. If your a fan of old style breakfast diners you'll love this place.
I've never had a bad dining experience at Angelo's.
Angelo's is almost like a home away from home. One of my favorite breakfast and lunch joints. Wonderful food, and the best people in town. Everyone in Angelo's feels like family, and there's no place I'd rather go when in Wilmington!
Very friendly atmosphere and good food love this place.
If you want a great breakfast, lunch and want to feel welcome, Angelo's is your place. The food and service are great! What makes Angelo's the best is that you feel so welcomed by everyone. The owner Muzz has been in business 51 years, put this restaraunt on your list, you won't be disappointed!
This wonderful hole in the wall serves fantastic old school breakfast and lunch. All food is cooked to order. Highly recommend
