This is a lovely restaurant with great service, great food and a lovely setting. Perfect for a special occasion. We just dined there for a birthday celebration and we were totally happy with the food, the service and the atmosphere.
You can always rely on the freshest seafood, clams, and oysters. The service matched the same high standard of food excellence. We enjoyed a lovely table in the bar.
The place was nice inside, however it was a little chilly. The service was great! We got the clams casino for an appetizer and it was okay. I got the sea scallops for dinner and they were very good. My wife got the scallops ceviche and it was just okay. The chocolate cupcake was very good and so was the lemon cheesecake. Overall, it is a nice place with good food and service. Not sure I will go back as I believe the food is way over priced.
The Sunday lobster special was very good. I was surprised you got the whole lobster. Some places only give you the tail. I thought it was a good value for the amount of food you received, which included a split of champagne for $55.
The ambiance and the food was outstanding. The staff was very warm and professional. It was a night out for the Birthday King , he loves seafood, and he was very happy. We will be returning at a later date. Thank you for your pleasant service.
I felt sorry for our server. She had too many tables and it was difficult for her to give us the service we wanted. Management should be more on top of this because despite excellent food the service really detracted.
Everything was great! Food service and atmosphere. Will surely come again. Crab cakes were phenomenal.
Food and service were excellent but pricey. But would recommend and go back. Great location along the river.
It's been a minute since we ate at Banks. Not sure what's changed but the food was a bit off tonight from what we've encountered on previous visits. Calamari was over cooked/tough and sauce served with it too sweet. Surk & turf- crab cake just ok along with steak also just ok along with sauces. Lobster bib salad served with regular ice berg lettuce vs bib. Wine, service (Stacey) and cocktails were great. Perhaps, we may give it another try but nothing compels me to return anytime soon.
It had been a few years since we had been back to Banks' Seafood and our takeaway from the evening is we need to come more often because the service, food, ambiance is excellent. It is a well run restaurant.

Excellent service and food! We highly recommend Banks for any occasion. We will be back soon!
Banks is always a win! The crab cake salad was gorgeous, and the blackened scallops salad was enjoyed thoroughly by my husband. Service was excellent! Lina was attentive and very friendly. Cocktails were fun!
Our server was incredibly attentive and through, the food was delicious with artful presentation, the hostess was pleasant and our overall experience was enjoyable.
Rookie server who clearly needed assistance/training, fumbled his way through the meal. Failed to clear plates, bring silverware, check in on drinks, etc. Should have been shadowed by supervision to get through service. Not his fault, really. Fault of management putting him out by himself before he was ready.
After watching the Chefs Kitchen segment where chef made the crab cakes we decided to change our dinner plans and we don't regret it. We had the Surf and turf and the crab cakes were amazing. We also tried the Ahi tuna crisps as we saw those on a chefs kitchen segment too and they were amazing. We love Banks seafood and we will be back . The food , the service and the atmosphere are top notch
