Always a great meal at Bank's! I had the filet and the wife had the parrot fish. Both delicious! I wish there was more beef choices, but I do understand it's a seafood restaurant. Dessert was great, too.
Take your jacket – it's usually very cold, which unfortunately affects the enjoyment of your meal. However, the manager came by and acknowledged our request to warm the place up and he did just that. Excellent attention to our request service was wonderful and the food, as usual, very good
A great place for any time but especially brunch on Sunday. Should have sat outside as it was a beautiful day but my companions were hard of hearing and so we chose inside. That was good because we had a wonderful server, Mandy. All were pleased with our choices although a few more oysters in the Pan Roasted Oysters would have been welcomed. The broth was "spicy" - for me, probably not others. The small Brussels Sprouts salad was crunchy and full of good things. The chocolate truffle dessert with ginger is decadent and I have ordered it my last four visits. Next time I think I'll try one of the other luscious choices. Always reliable and a treat.
My husband and I dined at Banks for my birthday. Our experience was not as nice as I hoped, mainly due to the seating situation. We had a reservation for 2 and were seated at a large corner circular table. Not only was it a very tight table placement, with little room to scoot around into the center, but the material on the booth seating was IMPOSSIBLE to slide around on. We ended up sitting at the opposite end openings of the circular booth and were not able to converse with each other without feeling like we were shouting, due to the loud atmosphere and very high ceilings. I saw another couple in the opposite side with the exact same scenario. There were plenty of other tables open, so the hostesses could have seated us elsewhere. They did not take u into account the my husband is 6'3 and could barely fit in such a tight space. This tainted the rest of the night and my romantic Bday dinner was disappointing. My husband enjoyed his Oysters and clams and pasta dish. My surf and turf dinner was just ok. While the filet was cooked right and tender, it was lacking flavor. Thankfully it came with horseradish cream sauce and I used that, even though I am not a fan of horseradish. The crab cake was lacking flavor, as well. There were several different sauces on the plate along with some spring greens. There was a lot going on and I found the different flavors to be a bit much. The dessert of Lemon Lava cake was delicious. It was warm and moist and had a vanilla lava center and was topped with raspberry sauce and fresh berries. I'm not sure whey the reservation system asks if there is a "special occasion" since there was no mention of them knowing it was my birthday. It would have been a nice touch if they had mentioned it.
Everything about this place was amazing. The portion sizes were perfect. The food was absolutely delicious. A little pricey but overall an amazing experience. The traditional land and see was absolutely amazing. The selection of oysters was one of the best I've seen in Delaware. The restaurant and staff are overall great.
Had a great meal with my wife. Savannah was our server and she did an awesome job. Great pace, keeping an eye on us while not being intrusive. Seafood nachos we very good, plenty to share. My dinner was a filet and crab cake. The steak was cooked perfectly and was delicious. Crab cake was good too, not a lot of filler like at some places. My wife had the halibut, and it too was good, especially the scallop based dressing on the plate to enhance the flavor. Definitely a place we will return to for special occassions.
Only minor complaint was that the red snapper was a bit overcooked, but everything else was great!
Wonderful evening. The dining room adjacent to the bar was really loud. Tough to hold a conversation without yelling. Otherwise it was a wonderful evening
Wonderful service and delicious food. We were there for a birthday and they made sure to go the extra mile. Could not have been happier.
Had a good birthday dinner. Sat on the deck and the weather was very good. Crab cakes were very good and the desert was also very good. Always enjoy the truffles.

Our party of four enjoyed our meals very much. The preparation, care and presentation of the dishes were excellent. Two of our group had crabcakes and raved about them, likewise our friend who had the fish and chips. The hand cut fries were very nice indeed. I had ordered swordfish, which was not on the lunch menu. However, the kitchen was kind enough to do a special swordfish meal for me. It was wonderful! Our server was attentive and managed the meal pacing very well. We appreciated this care with timing because we were not rushed through a business lunch, but respected as a group having a casual get-together. The vote from all of us is that we will be dining here again...and again.
Banks has always been a good place to get a quality meal and good service. I've been going there for years.
This is a lovely restaurant with great service, great food and a lovely setting. Perfect for a special occasion. We just dined there for a birthday celebration and we were totally happy with the food, the service and the atmosphere.
You can always rely on the freshest seafood, clams, and oysters. The service matched the same high standard of food excellence. We enjoyed a lovely table in the bar.
The place was nice inside, however it was a little chilly. The service was great! We got the clams casino for an appetizer and it was okay. I got the sea scallops for dinner and they were very good. My wife got the scallops ceviche and it was just okay. The chocolate cupcake was very good and so was the lemon cheesecake. Overall, it is a nice place with good food and service. Not sure I will go back as I believe the food is way over priced.
