Great BBQ. They have very good barbecue but their slaw is the star. They have delicious slaw for the the sandwich and for their hotdogs.

I have been eating Dick Howell BBQ since 1969 at their previous location. There is no better bbq sandwich anywhere. They have a hot slaw and a sweet slaw to choose from. I believe they are with and without red pepper. I have eaten bbq in Texas, Kansas City, Memphis and anywhere else I could find it. As far as BBQ sandwiches, Dick Howell is King. It is now in a very small place and tricky to find but it is worth a special trip.

Delicious food and such kind people! New to the area and took a chance for a birthday dinner for 10+ people. Chopped pork, brisket, mac and cheese, beans, slaw just amazing. Even the chicken fingers I got for the kids were so good and clearly made with care. We’ll be back often!

Dick Howell’s has been in Florence for 60 years or more! They have a great hotdog and pulled pork sandwich ever! The secret is in the slaw! You can dine in or take out! Love it!
