This location NEVER EVER has the products our office needs, when we need them. But there's plenty of space for cheap, tacky clothing. I've frequently ended up driving all the way down to Newark, which is a much better store (but still not great).They've also recently contracted with DoorDash for their same-day delivery service, and the service is absolutely abysmal. Orders are dumped in the downstairs lobby with no notice or indication where they might be. As a result, we're dumping BJs immediately.I am only willing to give one star because I've always had good experiences at the customer service desk. Otherwise, this place is a loser on delivering any kind of convenience or value.

Horrible Custumer service all employees seem to have a problem like they don't want to be there, and are so rude they need better training, learn how to talk we ain't paying memberships to get treated like sht... rather go some place else

I shop at BJ's Wholesale Club in Elsmere DE often and not because of the customer service. Tonight I did some shopping and I can say that the person at the door had great customer service skills. I really can't say that about our cashier, she did the bare minimum to make us feel welcome to do our shopping there. I'm not sure if she just doesn't have the skill to be a customer service person or she was just putting in her time to get a pay check. Every once in awhile I have a great experience at checkout at that location and next time there seems to be a whole different crew. The Newark location has a much better staff in my opinion but they aren't as close and they do not have gas. Currently, I am one of those people who use a real person to check me out. I certainly could do it myself but I don't get a pay check from BJ's but I probably would have had a better customer service experience. I was pleasantly surprised by the customer service in the optical department. I came in hoping that the ear piece could be reattached. The Optical Manager asked me to take a seat, and started to work on my glasses. Mystique not only reattached the earpiece, she made adjustments that fit my face again. Mystique handed me my clean glasses back with no charge. I hope you can recognize Mystique for her customer service. I am a bigger fan of BJ'S because of her. Thank You Ken W.

Came to get gas. Lines short and price just right!! The machine is user friendly. You scan your member card and you're all set.

Just waited in line for 25 minutes to get gas, got up to the pump & it’s not working. The only resolution offered was to get back in line. Completely ridiculous That management couldn’t remedy this for the people who were at the pumps when they crashed.

Simple tasks, that people mess up, just to be lazy. I got a pound of cheese, and asked for it to be "thin". I don't get the cheese that the machine slices, because it's thicker than the damn bread it goes on. Easy enough, right?? No. The damn girl reaches in the fridge, where all the lunch meats are and brings out the already cut cheese. She was trying to be sneaky about it, she put it on the counter and I asked, " is that thin??", she said "yes". When I asked for the cheese, one of the girls made a comment to the other and said, " calm down girl" or some s*** like that. I knew what they where talking about, but I didn't make a big deal about it. I didn't want to be rude and check it in front of her, so I just took it. I get home and the s*** is as thick as cardboard!!!! I want to take it back and slap the s*** out of all those rude girls back their with every thick slice of cheese she gave me, just for being lazy!!! If you don't want to slice cheese or give people what they want, you shouldn't work back their cutting lunch meats!!! Go to another department, quiet, do whatever, just don't take peoples orders and give them whatever YOU feel like giving them!! They are all lucky I'm not their boss, I would fire the s*** out of some employees!!! If you have a job, do it right, then when you get fired, don't go playing the damn victim, or the race card.

This BJ’s is laid out nicely and is clean. Today was the first I’ve been there since mid-January and I was very pleased that most everything had been replenished. Prices have gone up on some things but no more than other places. There doesn’t seem to be any limit to the number of people allowed in the store at one time and while there are signs requiring masks and showing the proper way to wear them, there were a number of people wearing them under their nose or chin and most people were not adhering to the 6-foot social distancing, especially at the lunch meat counter or in the checkout line that wrapped around the entire store. I have been coming to this BJ’s since they opened and I definitely recommend this BJ’s and will definitely shop there again!

love bj cakes, so nice and moist and reasonably priced. got not of these birthday cakes from BJ's the small one was $14 and the half sheet was $30.

We were BJ's customers for about 10 years at the New Castle DE location. This building is old and continues to deteriorate. They have a terrible mouse problem, unfriendly staff and we have finally switched to COSTCO. The final straw was buying cases of yoghurt that was out of date. We didn't notice at the time but had to throw most of it out in a few days after one container exploded! We tried to get our money back (it was the BJs brand) but just got a run-around because we didn't have some info that was on the outer box which we no longer had.

I love this Bj's location but your staff is RUDE! At 8:37am on Friday, October 16th, your person by the door YELLED "seniors only til 9 o clock." 1.) I didn't know 2.) she we incredibly rude 3.) that's not how you treat MEMBERS who PAY for a membership There was no signage and most places have stopped doing this. At least apologize for the inconvenience. She was stern, rude and unnecessary. Just a rude person. Don't talk to customers like that!!!
