I go back to Buckleys for the Rueben sandwich. Like being at a New York deli, with the perfect amount of meat for an s as Ver age person! The chef circulated in the dining area to check on everyone.

Happened to stop in on a Sunday afternoon and everything was amazing! The service was spectacular and that food was simply amazing! Delicious, fresh and just perfectly done. Love the atmosphere, the charm and everything about Buckley's Tavern!

Came in for Sunday brunch with two friends. Our waitress was very inattentive. We waited for half an hour for our food. When it came out, it was cold. My friend had ordered the breakfast platter. It was missing the meat and potatoes. It was just eggs and French toast. Waitress acted like it was rude when we wanted a discount on her incomplete meal. We would have ordered another round of drinks and maybe looked at the dessert menu. But our waitress continued to disappear and not return. Eventually, she brought us our check, and then never came back to retrieve it. We had to bring the check physically inside and hand it to the bartender. Very disappointed. We will not be back.

Enjoyable lunch with a friend. I arrived before they opened and there was a line! Great environment, food and service. Need I say more?

I enjoyed the back garden. Unfortunately, the taps were out of order for a few weeks, so I had to settle for bottled beer, which was acceptable. I ordered the Thai curry soup, but it tasted mostly like curry powder in coconut milk. The food was decent but a bit overpriced. However, considering the town and the ambiance, it was fine overall. I would visit again but try something different next time.

This used to be one of our favorite spots, but the portions have gotten smaller and the food tasted basic, not flavorful like before. Very disappointing compared to the past.

The mushroom ragout was outstanding. The crab cake sandwich was also good. The chicken pot pie was not very good. It came very liquidly and a hard disc of toasted something placed on top very disappointing. Nice place to eat just don't order the pot pie.

Very disappointed in Sunday Brunch. All 5 of our meals were cold when they came out. Manager never came to apologize for cold food. Server was inattentive and sitting with his feet up in entryway when we were leaving. My daughter was on crutches and he couldn’t even offer to get the door. Very poor service! Sadly disappointed!!

A visit to Buckley's is well worth it. We started with a crab, artichoke, and spinach dip. Really tasted good and plenty of fresh pita bread. My wife had the wild game burger. One of the best tasting I've ever had. I opted for the meatloaf - nice ground meat mixture with good flavor. We took about half our meals home but saved room for dessert, flourless chocolate cake, not too heavy but decadent. They have a great selection of draft beers, too.

I absolutely loved this restaurant - the food was delicious - the crab artichoke & spinach dip with warm pita triangles started us off and then we moved on to the delicious poached pear salad. My husband had an exquisite ahi tuna and I ordered the crab cakes, both outstanding. Unfortunately, I was full from the starters and the two crabcakes were jumbos! Our very able waitress (Kay?) had them wrapped up to go & when we asked for buns and cocktail sauce - so we could have them for lunch the next day, she happily complied - above and beyond nice. My husband ordered the dessert special - blueberry cobbler - and I had to have a bite or two - delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant near all the beautiful Brandywine Valley gardens. I would go back in a nanosecond!
