We ate here as a private event: dinner for guests the evening after a morning wedding. The food and service were excellent. If we are ever in Wilmington again, we would return to Iron Hill Brewery.

We had our son's wedding rehearsal dinner here and also after the dinner we had lite food for friends for a get together after dinner 8 to 10. The food was great and the staff was great and friendly to make the rehearsal dinner special!

Jacob waited on us and was fantastic. Personable, friendly, attentive, and his menu recommendations were on point. Food was delicious.

We had dinner here twice during our 4-night stay in the Wilmington area, as our visit was so good we had to return. We were offered the choice of indoor or patio seating and chose the latter, as it was pleasantly warm but shaded. The menu has plenty of choice and we both opted for the crab cakes, which were amazing, and great value. The in-house beers were excellent, and very refreshing.

Hamburgers & Malty fries were delicious.

This spot is great for a relaxing lunch on the riverfront. We sat outside at the picnic tables and had a nice view of the river. The food and beer were very good. I recommend the pretzels. My kids had the tacos and the restaurant accommodated their picky orders. There were yard games to entertain the kids. Outdoor area is dog friendly. We had to order at the bar because there was no table service outside but it wasn't a problem.

Our family decided to go to Iron Hill Brewery in Wilmington for dinner. We had made reservations so we were seated promptly. Our orders were taken and we were served in a reasonable amount of time. I had the Blackened Chicken Linguini and my wife had the Scallops. Our entrees were very flavorful and the presentation was top notch. For dessert the table tried the Chocolate Molten Cake and the Butter Cake, both were outstanding. You cannot go wrong by eating here. The food and service are great.

Our lunch at the Iron Hill Brewery exceeded our expectations. Their "chef's menu", which alternates every few weeks, offered mussels in a cream, garlic sauce that was so delicious that my daughter wanted to drink the sauce from the bowl. The salmon salad had a light dressing that was a perfect complement and the salmon was cooked to perfection. My husband enjoyed the sesame chicken salad and the IPA he had with it. The service was friendly and attentive. If you're looking for a decent lunch spot with great food near Rehoboth Beach, definitely give this place a try.

Me and a couple of my colleagues tried Iron Hill Brewery for lunch one day. It was kind of loud in there but with a pretty full crowd it’s to be expected. We decided to get different appetizers and share them; cheesesteak egg rolls, buffalo chicken egg rolls, nachos, chicken wings. The cheesesteak egg rolls were out of this world delicious! The buffalo chicken egg rolls and the nachos were also delicious. Even though this is a brewery we had to stick to sodas and teas because our bosses wouldn’t appreciate if we came back to work tipsy. I would go back to Iron Hill just for the cheesesteak egg rolls, but I would like to try some others foods.

EDIT March 2025: I think the TapHouse has hit its stride. Since last year, I've seen the place evolving and working out the kinks. There was a little bit of remodeling with the partitioned off area. They took down the monitors to open it up and included activities like dartboards (love it), foosball, giant jenga, etc. It's a subtle upgrade to the layout and it works. More importantly, the service model is much improved. The register is still at the bar but tabs can stay open and friendly staff visits the table to check in and brings out drinks/food. A happy medium between full service and the DIY model they had at one point. Also, the menu has undergone a few iterations and always for the better (except the corndogs are missing... for the love of toddlers, bring back the corndogs!). The new smashburgers are some of the best I've had in the area, my wife was crazy about the OMG BLT, and the grilled cheese and tomato soup was a hit with the little guy. THANK YOU for allowing us to put you back in the rotation and become what of our local favorites again! ORIGINAL: Since its opening, this place went from a fantastic beer hall concept similar to Frankford Hall in Philly to a confusing mess with a watered down menu and chaotic service model. Service isn't even the right term given that you cannot sit at a table and enjoy a meal and rounds of beer without having to wait yourself and pay as you go. It encourages more of a fast casual experience of ordering your burger and beer and get out - too much effort to spend more money on prolonging your stay with multiple courses of food/drink. I'm heartbroken because this was one of my favorite nearby places for its atmosphere, menu, and service. Now, it's a place to fill a growler and go home...

The mushroom soup was the best I've ever had! Coupled that with a burger ( which I couldn't finish) and a porter. Amazingly good!!

When to Iron Hill for the Creamsicle IPA which unfortunately is out of season, but we had the seafood chowder and a burger. The chowder is amazing! Lots of seafood and great flavor. The burger was juicy with a ton of mushrooms. Both solid choices and I’ll be back for that soup!

We used to really like this place. The beer is still good, but they keep changing the concept. I assume that staffing issues are a driving factor. They've moved all ordering to the bar, with no table service at all. Unless you're sitting at the bar, there's no tabs, so every round is paid for separately, as is food. And there's no runners, so you have to pick up your food at the window. I'm not sure if we'll be back as often

This was one of the best spots I ate on my vacation as I was able to share it with old friend. We met up here and was able to catch up and have some good food, and a few drinks. I ordered the chicken nachos so good and the sandwiches as just as well both are enough to fill you up and bring home extra. The restaurant is in an old building and inside looked very cool with big beer barrels in the front for the craft beer. As happy hour settled in it was busy with people out of work and it was really cool atmosphere to enjoy our time. Overall you can enjoy a full dinner here or just enjoy some snacks and appetizers for your enjoyment. The service was quick and ready to help you out I will be looking forward to return for sure.

There are a couple of restaurants located a short walk across the parking lot from the Delaware Children’s Museum and Iron Hill is one of them. Many guests brought their children with them to dine at lunch on the weekend. The setting is upscale yet casual. Service was very attentive and prompt. The menu is quite extensive: this is clearly a complete restaurant affiliated with a brewery rather than a brewery which also happens to serve some food to go along with your drinks. For your liquid enjoyment, they offer between two and three dozen of their brews on tap. Everyone we tried was a quality product. We ordered some apps, sandwiches, salads, and pizza. We found a small bone in one of the chicken tenders, so they were not ultra-processed chicken meat that you find elsewhere. I wish that their pizza toppings were dispersed little more generously and spread father toward the edge of the crust. Most of the beers on the menu were also available to go in 16-oz four-packs or 12-oz. six-packs and they were ice cold coming out of the cooler!
