My wife and I Visited Cafe Mezzanotte on Valentine's Day. The service was incredible. Very friendly and personable. The food was top notch. The atmosphere was very quiet and calm, maybe a bit too much so. My only true complaint throughout the entire evening was the chairs being old, VERY cracked leather. It's not very reassuring when you go to sit down and pieces of your chair are falling off. Other than that, it was an fantastic night out.

Food was ok as was the service. I felt bad for the waitress, as while the restaurant wasn't too crowded, she was the only one responsible for all the tables (10-12?). The food was fair. I rated the value as lower because I was charged for Parmesan cheese in an Italian restaurant, and I was not told there would be a charge. The tiniest of cups was $4.00. I almost asked for more, and was glad I didn't.
Very nice restaurant and the staff are amazing

Lobster ravioli with blush sauce was amazing. Calamari was very good!
I rarely write reviews because after leaving NYC and living in different States, it has been difficult to match the dining experiences we had in our beloved city. Cafe Mezzanote, however, did just that. From feeling welcomed(bcz of our diverse background), to the wonderful staff, the atmosphere and the very well made food, 10/10 would recommend. If you are looking for a great dining experience overall, please visit this top tier gem.

Every thing was good but the only confusion was with their menu . There were 4 different menus , one on open table , a couple different ones on their website, and then a different one in person, but overall a good stop and I will return
Impeccable service - what a classy place! Food does not disappoint - from the burrata to the tortellini meatball soup to the lobster tail linguine AND AND the pistachio and hazelnut gelato - AMAZING! Beautiful background music sets the scene - intimate restaurant - we've been twice before and will return!!!!
Old fashioned was splendid. Lobster ravioli was really delicious.

Always the best. Cocktails top of the line. Chef Sergio knows how to get it right. Delicious
Overall the experience was fine, however the server was excellent and extremely enthusiastic. We were there for a pre show dinner. Food was decent and well priced. The restaurant was a bit chilly. Would try again

Seated just a few mins past 5:30, told we were the first reservation of the evening. Our appetizers (1 shrimp cocktail and 2 orders of Arancini, i.e., nothing too complex) came to the table at 6:25. "Homemade bread" was anything but - seemed like basic grocery store, well below standard of quality Italian bread for an above-average Italian restaurant. Always amazes me when an Italian restaurant doesn't have grated cheese at the table for the entrees, or doesn't ask if anyone wants. All 4 of us ordered a pasta dish. Server asked who needed black pepper. One member of our party ordered a dish with sausage, specifically asked if it would be spicy, server said absolutely not. Surely enough, sausage was very spicy, even appeared to have hot peppers. She had to ask for a new entree as she has stomach issues. We nearly missed leaving on time to make a show. Server didn't ask if our entrees were satisfactory, only asked one member if he wanted another drink. The rest of us had all finished our drinks, but had water only to drink. Server did not ask about dessert, we just asked for the check.
The food was good, and we appreciated the options in portion sizes. Soup and an appetizer or half portion of pasta was quite sufficient. The ambience was relaxing. We really enjoyed our meal, and felt it was a good value.
Cafe Mezzanotte has become our favorite restaurant in Wilmington. The food is delicious. The branzino is the best I've ever tasted (the chef filets it tableside!). The Fettuccine Alfredo is also outstanding. We've never had a bad meal here. The service is always excellent. The staff is friendly and efficient. We will continue to frequent this place.
Sign out front says gelato, go inside and they said they dont sell gelato
