My husband and I were very disappointed with our cheesesteaks. Claymont Steak Shop was recommended by my sister, but even she was disappointed after tasting my sandwich. Our sandwiches were extra cheesy. We had more cheese than meat. They were very bland and not seasoned at all. This was our first stop after driving from Cleveland, OH. We saved our appetites for our steaks, but we were let down. So much forbragging right to my husband about how good cheesesteaks are in Philly.

Sometimes I can get food that is actually good at different times but, maybe it's a different cook or something because sometimes I get food and it's horrible. I thought I was being safe by ordering a cheese pizza so when I got the cheese pizza it looked good but when I started eating it that's when I realized that cheese was old my stomach immediately started to get sour and bubble I knew right there that I was eating poison. I only wish that the food can be cooked right and all the proper precautions taken necessary for the food to be fresh and clean. It's not that hard but I think that people lack care of the quality of the food, that's the problem we're having now. I can't get good food anywhere.

One of my favorite cheesesteaks in Delaware. You can taste the quality of ingredients, the portions are good, and it's consistent everytime I've ordered from here. The customer service was excellent as well. I dont know her name but the last time I ordered over the phone and came to pick it up the cashier was helpful and very polite. These things make a big difference, keep it up!

Food is terrible. I ordered wings and a cheese stake, but they didn’t even deliver the food to the correct house. They just left it at the doorstep without knocking or anything. Fortunately, we have a great community. Our neighbor (four doors down) noticed the receipt and saw the address. She walked all the way down and delivered the food to us.
When we opened the food, the wings were so burnt that they were rubbery, and the cheese stake was all messed up. I called the store, and the person on the phone said, “At least you got your phone,” and hung up without addressing the food being wrong. This is strike three. Unless you want to eat bad food, don’t order here.

On April 11, 2025 The turkey and roast beef on my Nigerian sub was tasteless and they forgot my provolone cheese, mayo, oil, and the ingredients were slice very big it felt like chewing sticks and stones. My fries were wet and cold. I always go to the store in claymont never ever have I eaten an awful sub from there they are always my first choice. I got out of church tonight and didn’t have enough time to make it to claymont before closing so I decided to go to concord pike store never again
So clean! The food is always great! And the quality and quantity are fantastic for the price!!

After leaving Chuck E. Cheese with the family, we decided to grab a bite to eat, and we randomly stopped at this place because we heard they had excellent Philly cheesesteaks. Once inside, we were impressed by the clean atmosphere and the great menu options. Although we initially planned to order something different, my wife and I ended up with tuna subs, while we got our son a little pizza. We also shared some mozzarella sticks. The food was outstanding, with fantastic flavors. The pizza was especially amazing—truly top-notch. There was nothing to critique about the experience; the staff was fantastic, and we’re definitely planning to return to try more menu items. Despite being known for their Philly cheesesteaks, we were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed the simpler tuna subs. The food was served quickly, in generous portions, and I highly recommend checking this place out. Among all the pizzas I've had recently, this one stood out. I feel really fortunate that we decided to stop there at such a random moment, and I’m excited to go back and explore more of their menu in the future!
