Coffee mode is the bomb! I love the whole 30 smoothie, the coffee and the fact that they have oat milk (which you need to try!). Decent bagels and amazing service. A true hidden gem in the downtown area.

I absolutely love this place! The charged chai tea latte with oat milk is the best drink I've ever had. It's a small place in an office building. Their coffee quality, attention to detail when making drinks, the friendly and knowledgeable atmosphere, make this one of the best coffee places I've been to. I am so so happy this place exists, so I don't have to get my caffeine fix from chain coffee places that don't even come close to this place.

Ben and Rachel are the people to see here. Best Third Wave coffee in Wilmington, Delaware. Unassuming in a lobby of an office building so when you GPS it it will take you to the BACK of the CITIZENS BANK BUILDING, so go in the door next to Pinji's that takes you to the lobby. Try the CHAI CHARGED MACCHIATO. (I had to go online to Devi Chai company and order a $55.00 bottle of it. ). Ben made a Panella sugar and unsweetened cocoa espresso for my husband. EXCELLENT latte art third wave coffee. We brought in coffee beans for Ben to try from Hub in Reno, NV. He shared a pour with us! What a personable guy. Rachel is a sweetheart also and can make mean coffee drinks also. Go there you won't regret it. Not real busy there because no one knows it's in the Citizen's building, so you can relax and sit at the coffee bar.

I have always been a big brewhaha fan but Coffee Mode is making its way to my number one spot in Wilmington (market street). Ben is great! Not only can he make a mean smoothie or espresso beverage, but he holds amazing conversations and is so personable with each customer. This is something that has been missing from local business for a long time. Coffee Mode is worth every second of your time! Exquisite!

Non Dairy friendly/ lactose free milk options: Oatly brand Oat Milk, Califia Farms Almond Milk, and Milkadamia Macadamia Milk. Plenty of offerings !!! Also, I hope you get to meet the owner Ben Cordova!! Violeta is the sweetest barista :)

Coffee Mode is the real deal. They use high-quality beans roasted locally in Philadelphia and top-of-the-line equipment you'd see in any high-end coffee bar. The staff's technique is on-point as well, so they know what it takes for a perfect espresso extraction or a single origin pour over. As a New Yorker, I was worried I wouldn't find a suitable coffee spot in Wilmington. Coffee Mode proved me wrong--it's right up there with some of my New York favorites. You wouldn't expect all this coming from what looks to be a lobby coffee shop, but it is definitely worth a stop in the morning (and afternoon). Best part of my day.
