I took great care in choosing a restaurant for our 34th wedding anniversary dinner and remembered a past anniversary dinner at Columbus Inn that was lovely, so I made a reservation for CI again. It was a wonderful choice! We had shrimp cocktail, calamari, salmon, seafood cobb salad, flourless chocolate cake and apple tart--all outstanding! So was my espresso martini. Our waiter Patrick was professional, attentive, personable, and helpful. Five stars. I think CI will be our anniversary dinner restaurant for many years to come.

Columbus Inn I've been here before and had an issue with the pork belly being dry AF, but loved everything else so let's give another go! Booked a high top, but asked if they had a table available and they gave us a table ✊?. We did all appetizers this time. Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ FOOD BRISKET FRIES ............................. 12 sweet potato fries, cheese sauce, bbq smoked brisket ragout ⭐️ - Fries alone were good, brisket was the driest I've ever had in my life. Cheese sauce was a thick unflavored roux, bbq was very mild tasting. Do not recommend CRISPY CALAMARI ............................. 13 lemon garlic aioli, tomato fondue, sweet & hot pepper relish ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- I would have rated this 5 stars, but instead of a tomato fondue they were over reduced hot sauce. Which to me is strange they didn't mention that. Overall calamari was fresh and perfectly cooked. Not a huge fan of the hot sauce, but loved it. GRANDMA'S PIEROGIE...........................13 pork belly, caramelized onions, loaded sour cream, cave aged - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Here we go again with the pork belly. DRYYYYY like no fat belly to it. PIEROGIE was amazing, but why are we doin this to the pork belly? Just take it out of the dish this another PIEROGIE in there and I'd do 5 stars. CAJUN FRIED OYSTERS.......................15 commes spire crusted, lassic bush puppies, pickled green tomato salad, creole mustard, spicy roumalade ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Loved these! Good flavors, cooked wonderfully, and best hush puppies I ever had

Columbus inn will now be our “go to” restaurant! We've been meaning to dine there for years! My husband and I liked everything! We dined from a pre-fixe menu for Brandywine Valley Restaurant week. I had a super pear and Arugula salad. Salmon entree was very tasty with special gnocchi pasta on the menu, plus a crème brule that had fun caramel popcorn flavor plus a few pops on top! My husband had the Filet Mignon entree and a huge shrimp cocktail for his appetizer! His dessert was an apple caramel tart. Lovely menu. The place was packed! It's very nice inside, and the bar looked very good too! We will definitely come back soon to Columbus Inn! They do have a good wine and whiskey list plus beers and cocktails. Great place for dinner!

Went for the Brandywine Valley Restaurant Week menu. It was really fantastic. Our waiter Noah, was very attentive, gracious and efficient. This was my first time to dine at the Columbus Inn and I look forward to going again.

The patio seating was very comfortable for our dinner visit in mid-September. But its location next to Rt. 52/Pennsylvania Avenue is very noisy. The food was excellent and the service was attentive and courteous. We enjoyed entrees including: French Onion Filet, Surf & Turf, and Lobster, Shrimp, and Scallop Fried Rice.

As always, service was top notch! We started with the focchia appetizer and it was so delicious! Husband had the salmon which he loved and I had the steak frites made with a think delicious NY strip steak The fries were actually asparagus fried in Parmesan crust and then served with sweet corn shaved off the cob! Steak a bit underdone but they took it back and made it perfect. Love this place!

I’ve always loved Columbus Inn throughout the years and highly recommend it for quality fine dining and a quaint enjoyable atmosphere. And the front deck is an amazing spot all year round.

Grateful to the staff who found us a table tonight if not my reservation. What a lovely evening with friends on the patio. Thank you.

Don’t even waste your time here like I did. This restaurant was suggested to me from a coworker because I am not from the area. I met with a good friend for dinner at Columbus Inn. We never actually had a chance to eat or drink anything because they REFUSED to serve us. That’s right 2024 modern day racism! We were seated at a table. After a while a waitress came to take a drink order. I ordered a cocktail which I never received! We sat at our table watching every other guest be served dinner and drinks with a smile. Our server never came back to our table at all. We were shocked! All the servers walked by looking at us on their way to and from the kitchen. After 30 minutes we tried to gain the attention of a server to ask about our drinks and putting in an order. We were ignored! My friend had to ask the hostess to see the manager. At 40 minutes of not being served anything and completely ignored like we were invisible and getting ready to leave the waitress comes back and said she forgot we were there. She was busy with a take out order for over 40 minutes! We of course no longer trusted a meal from a restaurant that treated us with blatant disrespect and bias. So no order was placed. I was so embarrassed that I had a friend drive a long distance to meet me at a place that chose discrimination over serving a meal to two professional women sitting in their dining room. I am disgusted by the way we were treated at Columbus Inn. I would never suggest anyone go here based on my experience. The manger did come out right before we left having wasted 45 minutes being completely unacknowledged in this place. He offered the drink I ordered almost an hour prior. He was unapologetic stating they had a large party in the back so they simply forgot we were there! Bullcrap! They stared at us from a distance the whole night while waiting on other customers sitting all around us. Columbus Inn I will never forget the way you made me feel at your restaurant. I will be sharing this story for many years to come with anyone who will listen. I highly do not recommend the Columbus Inn and their blatant discrimination and disrespect!!!!! Still so angry about my visit!

The kitchen here is top shelf. Creative foods as well as traditional fare. If you can't find something to eat here, you just aren't hungry.
