Food at Concord diner was pretty tasty, but there was a surcharge when i used my credit card. I thought it was illegal in Delaware to adminster a credit card surcharge.

This place was very well-intentioned and the fries were good, but they haven't really figured out how to be a diner yet--root beer floats were served in small glasses with almost no ice cream and hot cocoa came in a tea cup with powder still floating on top.

The steak and eggs is amazing! I love it and my wife said the scrapple is better than Kirkwood Diner, they have corned beef hash too!!! OMG!!!

I had the omelette and my friend had the deluxe burger. The omelette had a weird eggy taste and they put way too much peppers in it. It was really hard finishing the omelette, I mostly just ate the hash browns. The deluxe burger was way too thick. We asked for a medium rare and it was mostly well done and only the middle that was medium rare. Way too much meat for the burger in my opinion and you couldn’t even taste the bacon on it. We also had a slice of their cake. It tasted EXTREMELY dry and had a fridge taste. Was very disappointed. Also they were stingy with their napkins? You need napkins especially with a burger and the server only gave us one each.
The food was okay at best and the service was good. The owner however, is a different story. I was eating when I heard some yelling and I looked up. There was what appeared to be the owner yelling at a server and chasing them out the building. I haven't seen this before and it definitely took me by surprise. Mediocre place for food, but I will not be back seeing the way the owner treated an employee.

Very good diner food. Open 24 hours a day serving breakfast lunch and dinner whenever you want. Ample portions. Fair prices. spectacular desserts. Very clean and cheerful interior. Recommend!
