Beautiful room... Menu is not in English thought I ordered scallops but I got raw cold scallops that smelled like fish... Sent it back. Instead got a cheeseburger dripping in mayonnaise... Yuck It was our anniversary dinner but the music was young thumping dance music not music fitting dinner or the beautiful room like piano jazz or something conducive to conversation... The menu is not similar to a French brasserie... They need to work on a new menu
This place knows how to make you feel at home. The entire staff makes you feel special from beginning to end. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary and it was truly a special night. Thank you and we plan to come back for years to come. Great food! Wonderful scenery and beautiful location. Easy to find parking.
Parking: Parking Lot close to location. Personal valet as well.

Great place and great food, parking can be tough. Plenty availability most weekends as half the town commutes!

We absolutely loved our dinner here! The cocktails were well balanced, the food was impeccable, and the service was above and beyond (thanks to our server, Frank). Le Cavalier is a can’t miss stop in Wilmington.

Delightful surprise brunch from my daughter at Le Cav. We started with a refreshing, yet subtly decadent Chambord Mimosa, recommended by our server Laura. We were impressed with the prompt arrival of our appetizers, Foie Gras on a succulent French Toast profiterole and mouth-pleasing deviled eggs with radicchio. Our mains were Rabbit Ragout Pasta which was a hearty plate and the extra large Crabcake with Green Goddess over lentils. The only slightly disappointing aspect was our dessert. We shared an order of Madeleines which the menu described as being topped with candied pecans. It arrived with raw walnuts. For those with slight tree nut allergies, candied pecans are heated, which minimizes the allergens of pecans. The raw walnuts were a poor substitute. We simply removed them. The lobby and front cocktail bars were lovely and reminiscent of earlier times. The architecture, interior design, and attention to details were not lost on us. It was not crowded at all and Laura made sure we were completely satisfied.
I truly look forward to visiting again soon.

Food is NOT worth the price, it’s actually gross. Sorry to say so, but it was that bad
Overly priced and food was JUST ok but maybe we were just there on a bad day.

I had the most wonderful time here! Firstly, the service was fantastic. Olivia, my server, was so kind and helpful. Chef Basil was also really kind and Mandy (the manager) was incredibly hospitable to us. The food was fantastic as well! I chose a couple of wines, Caesar salad, shrimp cocktails, and the oysters-- it was all delicious and fresh and I can be particular about all three of those things. For dessert we had the Profiteroles, which were delightfully rich. I can't forget about the ambiance! It's such a gorgeous space and the music is great and not overpowering. It was a perfect and lovely evening and I cannot recommend this place enough; I wouldn't have changed a thing!

The only thing i like was the onion soup. However, the service was great and the ambience lives up to its name.

I was displeased with the Mother’s Day brunch menu and the food. The food was horrible!! The menu was changed from the original brunch menu and they really dropped the ball. The waiter Frank was fantastic and didn’t have any control over the food that was served to my family. However; it was very disappointing to drive 2 hours to share a special day with my Mother to experience such a horrible experience.
