There are areas where stocking items is lax. Not that it isn't available but where management is inconsistent in ordering enough stock. This has been a problem since before Covid. They have failed to order No Salt items to the point where I have to go to Giant to get what I need. The attitude is "oh well poor you". Prices are ok and still cheaper than Acme. I have found numerous items that were past the expiration date, this is REALLY bad. This may be a staffing problem. Since they tried to eliminate cashiers, customer service has gotten worse. Working in a supermarket is tough work, I get the impression that management really doesn't care about the staff.

After my visit today and the way I was treated you can guarantee I'll never step foot in this store again. I came in with the just clip coupons for London Broil and Cherries I spent over $25,my trip was planned so I could come back later and use my store card to repeat my purchase! When the cashier asked for my card I explained what my intentions were and she said I couldn't do that,I challenged her on it being false advertisement she stated it wasn't I then replied to her that if they didn't have coupons like the Hatfield bacon and all the rest that say only digital coupons I might agree with her ,at which point her response was talk to the desk. I've notice poor moral in the store since you did away with your cashier's and little has changed since you found your profits decline and brought them back. the bottom line is I paid and then in a packed checkout I said very loudly for all to hear you'll never catch me in this shithole again and left.My purchase was terminal 84 operator 84trans128 at2:12 on 5/24/23 keeping in mind my cashier was a black man who was relieved half way through my order by a black women.Unless I hear something positive you'll never see me in your store, you might reconsider how you falsely advertise in your adds Kevin Petre

What has happened to this market? Freezer burn seafood, stale packaged bagels, no fresh lettuce of any kind, only bagged. Rudest employees I've ever encountered and prices are higher than others. Asked other people while there today and they all felt the same way. Won't be back.......

Every time I come here I regret it immediately. Lines are so long. They check your receipts like you're a criminal and you just dropped like $150. Staff looks like they would rather die than be there one more min. It's truly the worst experience. Wasn't always so bad. About 6 years ago it was fairly decent. Things have changed.

This ShopRite is, by far, the most horrific place I have ever shopped for my groceries. They are repeatedly very unhelpful, arrogant, and show absolutely no regard for their customers. Not only do you have to check yourself out at the self serve, you have to bag your own groceries, using your own bags. Please don't make any mistakes while you are doing any of the above or you will pay the price. NOW,,,,not only do you have to do everything yourself, there is an employee at the exit that interrupts you leaving their store to check to see if you paid for everything. I was held up by a very aggressive lady who implied that she wanted to see if I paid for everything.....words she used !!!!!! I don't think I could ever, having respect for myself, shop at this place again. They have certainly reached new heights in lack of customer care and concern. Its really a pity....but there are sooooooo many other grocery stores that treat me exceptionally well.....They will get my business from now on.......Don't put up with this nonsense and choose your businesses well.....

I wonder about managements thoughts on customer relations. I have generally no complaints and shop there twice weekly. But some of the nastiest most unhelpful people I have ever met in retail work there. They recently changed the checkout process to self checkout which is taking some getting used to, but prior to this the person who attended those registered was obnoxious and not helpful.Recently had a matter that required going to the customer service desk. First time I went the customer was being treated with disrespect and disdain and I was waiting and waiting. I gave up figured the employee was having a difficult day or something. When I did go back. They either knew nothing or feigned not be able to help me and were at best discourteous.Does management stash its losers where they can do the most harm to the customers

Worst employees in the checkout area. The attendant working this morning will yell, scream, even berate you because she thinks you don't know how to self checkout. I will never return to this store. There are plenty of other places to choose from.

This is the second time an employee has berated me and condescended to me and my elderly mother. She reprimanded my mother because she did not want a product after checking the price. She then got angry when I mentioned that one of the products cost was different than what she thought. She put the product in my face and said this has been $7.99 for the eight years I've worked here. She then angrily walked off like she was right. Not True! I double checked and was correct. It was insulting and a degrading experience getting groceries today. When I mentioned this to management, they were defensive and said it's because customers are so mean that they are this way. I can only wonder why customers would be mean. I am a kind person, that this place could turn anyone mean. Is this how they treat customers? Hands down the worst place to shop. I will never come back.

Today was the worst experience I've ever had in a grocery store in my 50 years. The Kenny family made the BRILLIANT decision to remove every register and make check out self-service ONLY. Since they didn't leave a single register, it is clear that this is a permanent situation. Do they not understand that there are older people that cannot check themselves out? My mom's vision is very limited, she cannot use a self-service checkout, plus she is over 80 and needs help to scan and bag her groceries. She has been a loyal customer of that store since the day it opened and I will not be taking her back until this situation is rectified. By the way we are in the middle of a pandemic with Omicron spiraling out of control but there was no social distancing, nor is there room for social distancing. It took on average an hour and a half to check out. I guess we will be doing all of our future shopping at Acme. Many, many people there today were older and couldn't self check-out.

This store has made a business decision to convert ALL of their checkout lanes to self-checkout. They already had about 50% lanes as self checkout. Not a problem for smaller orders but too much hassle for larger orders. The entire community now works for this store for free. They charge for bags so if you bring your own you have to maneuver your bags on the little item verification thing. This wasn't a problem with the staffed checkout lanes. I will no longer shop here because of the blatant disregard for their employees and the customers. Greed. I have choices and will shop elsewhere.

Shoprite has gone 100% self-checkout. Supposedly you can request "cashier assistance" where some kid will come over, scan your items, then throw them in a heap and walk away leaving you to *bag* - *fight with the cash machine* - then wrestle with the receipt mechanism. Used to be my favorite grocery store, but could... not... suck... enough. Let's see -- I've got Sprouts, I've got Acme, I've got Giant, I've got Food Lion. As long as I have other choices, other choices I shall make. So long, Shoprite!

Prices are a lot cheaper than elsewhere, but I no longer shop here, so here are some complaints from people who can't review themselves.MEAT DEPARTMENT: If you ask them to grind meat for you, make sure you check that you get the same amount that you gave them and the price reflects the correct weight (you can go weigh it yourself). My mom's friend gave them 2 lbs of straight meat (no bone) and they charged her for 2 lbs when they only gave her 1 lb of ground meat. As per law of conservation of mass, I don't understand how they lost an entire pound from just grinding it. My mom also noticed that they mix new and old meat together. When they package it, the newer meat is what you see through the plastic packaging, but when you open it up, it's old underneath.BAKERY: See picture. This is a Shop Rite croissant. It's flat and does not get flaky/crunchy in the toaster oven. It burns before then (yes, I've decreased temp and increased time, as well as other methods). We usually buy ours from BJ's, but recently decided not to renew our membership. While we have bought SR croissants before, they were never this bad. Not sure what they're doing to it.CUSTOMER SERVICE: POOR. So my mom made two returns in one week: one from the previous week because she bought the wrong quantity and missed the sale price and one from this week on a product that had a sale sign but was charged full price. The same cashier serviced her. She yelled at my mom and refused to refund her the money the second time, claiming that all my mom does is return things. Another cashier came and helped my mom; she checked that the item was supposed to be on sale, so she refunded her the money, but the previous cashier never apologized to her.

This place is my first choice site. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to that place. Whenever I I need a good lunch, this restaurant comes straightaway to my mind. very good and all kinds of food and a rich menu.helpful staff members, and great spirit. And very important, the bill is decent. I tell about this place with no doubt.
