I walked in on a Sunday at 2pm to attempt to eat/drink and catch the eagles game. A armed bouncer patted me down and told me cover was $20. Honestly, I don’t mind a cover charge but seemed like an additional money grab when I already planned to eat and drink. Also, I seen 10 people max in a bar the could easily hold 100 - 150 people. This feeling made me say no to the cover and took my business to another bar. Who charges cover on a random Sunday afternoon. This was not a holiday or an evening event.

This was my second time at lounge at eighth for Karaoke ? on a Wednesday night. My first experience was great the food was good but gratuity was added, which was 18% of the bill which I thought was a little high. Our waitress with the first visit was very polite and welcoming, and even though there was gratuity on our bill, we still tipped her based on her service. This waitress during our first visit was the reason why we returned on July 17, 2024.

But this second experience, The with Celine the waitress was horrible. Celine came over to greet us and escorted us to the table. She really didn’t seem like she wanted to be at work. We asked her a couple questions about the menu and she explained the different options that we can do for the chicken wings. Despite how knowledgeable she was about the menu, her service didn’t fulfill the requirements of a good waitress. After our food came out, the waitress decided that she was hungry doing her shift and she sat in the seat behind us to eat as well. I thought it was really odd that the waitress chose while she was waiting on a table to take a lunch break and there were still things that we needed at that time. If the waitress wanted to take a break, I think she should have had a replacement standing for her to accommodate our needs.

When we asked the waitress where our second order was for the eggrolls, she was upset that we stopped her from eating and she got an attitude instantly. She then proceeded to say that she had given them to us when she bought the bill. She went into the kitchen and surprisingly came back with our order of eggrolls she claimed she had given to us. We were very upset that she charged us for food and then tried to lie and say she had given it to us when we know that we didn’t receive it. She didn’t provide us with any utensils or even a bag for our to go order which was unprofessional. She then gave us our food for our to go order and stormed off with an attitude. That is very unwelcoming and unprofessional behavior to display especially when it was my girlfriend‘s birthday and that was the reason we came out to celebrate. I wish I could’ve gave more stars for the excellent service from the bartender name Promise and the DJ was awesome. Despite our bad experience with the waitress, the bartender and the DJ is what helped with the bad service.

The pictures on the website don't do justice for the place. It is very spacious. The food was awesome! I had 2 beef tacos and 1 shrimp taco with a strawberry margarita. Very very good, will definitely be back!

My Sister and I went on a Friday for Happy Hour. They had a live DJ and the atmosphere was very nice. Whoever did the decor obviously loves Delaware.. We only indulge in the cheese steak, jerk chicken egg rolls and drinks. .I will definitely come back to try more items on the menu.

Drove an hour to get here just to be told that even though it says online that lunch/dinner starts at 11a, they were still doing breakfast until 4p. Although they said it was breakfast only, they had a DJ playing so loud that I couldn’t hear my husband speaking a foot in front of me. Ordered and did not like the taste of the side of eggs. Waitress took the eggs back to the kitchen (I had only ate one bite) and still charged us for the eggs $7.

The only way to make our end purchase price make sense they must’ve charged $4 a piece for bottled water. If the options are “tap water or bottled” the difference should be made aware to the customer or at least not nearly as expensive. This place has no respect for quality or the customer’s experience seems to be all about money. All around what you would expect from a chain restaurant not a community place to eat.

Also asked for my husband’s ID so we wouldn’t do “a charge back”. They obviously knew we were unhappy with the experience and instead of rectifying it decided to stereotype us. Ma’am I can afford your restaurant that’s why I came… Still gave a 20% tip though because not everything was the waitress’s fault.
