The food , staff and atmosphere at Mary's are wonderful. It's like eating in a friend's kitchen, where the food is homemade, and the staff treats you like friends. Highly recommend. They treated my 92 year old father like he was their own.

Classic American breakfast joint! Delightfully crispy bacon, and snappy service from a very nice staff! I have not been disappointed by anything I've order. That said, my go to order is the catfish platter with chessey grits! If you have doubts about something so simple, try the Eggs Chesapeake! It's Eggs Benedict, but with lump crab meat instead of ham!
Parking: This establishment perates under the principal of first come first serve. If you show up and the parking lot looks very full and there's a line out front, chances are you're going to have to wait for a seat!
First and last time to eat there. Went for my daughter’s birthday with a friend. Put at a table and waited about 10 minutes. Finally grabbed the bus boy for beverages and told him no one had even been to our table. Another 15 minutes, no one. Told hostess she said sorry. Took off and then sat back at register with no update. Went and told hostess again. She moved us to a different section where we were waited on. Food was good but I’ll never go back.

Reviewing as a french person, might not be representative of the local tastes and standards: The service was great, the coffee quite standard, the chicken and waffles an heresy. Brine treated hand battered chicken on a relatively standard tasting waffle, much larger than the quantity of meat. The chicken was soggy and tasteless past the salty-watered taste of preserve juice it came from. The biscuits and gravy is actually rather good.

French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, and home fries was ALL HORRIBLE. French toast wasn’t sweet, eggs were bland not a salt crystal could’ve been used, bacon was undercooked, and the potatoes were also bland and mushy I’m wondering if they were fried or just boiled and reheated in grease. None of the food had any flavoring. Never again

Theresa is the best server at Mary’s! We’ve been coming to her for years! She gets to know her customers on a personal basis and she’s always happy to see a familiar face. We love coming in Sunday mornings for breakfast and sitting in her section. The food is always outstanding and we have even used Mary’s for their catering services as well for a baby shower and the food was a hit! I would recommend Theresa and Mary’s Kountry Kitchen as one of the best breakfast places in all of Delaware!
