I’ve been coming here for yearsss ! Their cabbage is TOP TIER! However last couple of times I’ve purchased food the quality has went down! I’m not sure if they changed the cooks or recipes, but today I got some stew chicken and it tasted like a bottle of ketchup. I have never brought stew chicken from here that tasted like what I ate today. When I say I love their stew chicken but I’m thoroughly confused and disappointed about what I was given today. And the Cabbage tasted FAR from what I’m use too. Very inconsistent , I must say I’m Speechless!
The food and staff are amazing!
I support small international businesses. Good authentic Jamaican menu.
Food is always amazing, the people who own this place are amazing. My family has been coming here for years, and we are never disappointed.
Negril Caribbean restaurant is and my personal opinion 😋. It's the very best Jamaican restaurant in Delaware and probably in the entire and I dare say, the entire Tri-state area ✋ hands down. The food is all homemade from the peas and rice to the cabbage and bake mac n cheese 🧀 😋 is always on point. But their signature dish that keeps happy customers like me coming back is their jerkchicken sauce. That jerkchicken sauce won't just have you slap your mom, but your entire family tree.I put that on everything ya heard. I mosdefinitely recommend this spot.
Horrible customer service! After I ordered it and paid for my food they let me know they did not have what I ordered and offered no compensation or apology. They were loud and rude when I brought it to their attention that it was an inconvenience
The foot is hitting every time.
Ayyyy!! Simply delicious. I purchased a large Peppersteak with xtra gravy. I was loaded with meat, which was extremely tender. Rice and peas with cabbage. Perfect!
The food was seasoned well. However, the presentation needed improvement.
1. Too much grease/ oil in the gravy.
2. A strainer spool should have been used to dish up the cabbage. The cabbage laid in a lot of greasy oil.
3. Order called in. Upon arrival to pick it up, order wasn't ready, nor did server remember. Maybe it should have been written down.
Let me just say this!! I’ve eaten many places in states on the east coast that claim to be good at Authentic Jamaican Food then fail to have my toes tapping! The owners of Negril are very hard working, salt of the earth people that cook really good food. Respect Do!!!
Stopped by late on a Friday just before closing and the food was fresh, seasoned with perfection and the jerk chicken was cooked perfectly. They used the correct wood for flavor. Top Tier and priority in Jamaican Jerk! Rice & Peas on point, cabbage supreme, mac n cheese banging, coco bread and chicken patties yum!! The price point is affordable and portions are outstanding!
Breakfast’s on Saturdays so if ya want porridge they need more request and foot traffic. Do not be discouraged by the location it’s literally within walking distance from so called “safe” neighborhoods. I’ll be headed back to Negril soon to try the veggie patties and curry chicken. Thank you so much owners for touching my spirit and belly with your delicious food.

The food here is phenomenal! The jerk chicken is perfectly seasoned, just enough spice with a sort of sweet flavor. The portions are generous. I used to go to the jamican spot in Elsmere, across from the VA hospital, this place beats it by a long shot. Oh I just remembered the cabbage is delicious, full of flavor. Please try this Mom and Pop Jamican spot, you won't be disappointed. I'm originally from Philly and it has Philly spots beat, and that is saying something!

Disgusting counting the meat in the box after dude put the food in there. The woman again pooked her nose in counting the meat saying that it a large. Grandma would give better portions and don't count meat piecesWell that is a small in my opinion as we ordered large. The woman then fried overripe plantain, not even to drain the oil off yuck, yuck, and sold it. My partner he vomited and became sick overnight night. He said if was cooked he wouldn't have vomited. The woman never even apologised about the nasty soggy plantain she put in the box she only wanted the sale and she knew it was disgusting well. Would you serve your own child that?? I imagine so cause she made a stupid sentence on it saying this is what we have. I wanted to take it back instantly, but my partner is not the man to complain about food. She should have said I don't have any plantain than to force selling the excessively over ripped plantain, then fried it without care like she feeding pigs terriblyNot everyone can cook and follow a basic recipe and even fry plantain to a palatable standard.Much less sell ppl good portioned size meat. It seems to be a major complaint in this make shift place as other ppl left their reviews. We have not brought food there since my partner narrowly escaped a hospital admission. AND WE WON'T. My system is stronger than his but I still felt I narrowly escaped hospital myself. People I suggest you all don't buy here if you choose not to be sick and end up with diarrhoea or a hospital visit. I felt bad about my partner being sick. Terrible, terrible. Do not try to justify this experience and review. How can you justify selling oilly overripe soggy plantain and a member of the public got sick. People who do not know jamaican dishes will perhaps rate it as the best but the news is that it's NOT. This is the first place we have been that count even the rice grains and are stingy with the meat. Who wants 3.9/4 box of rice even the cabbage they are stingy with. We had brought oxtail and it was just an overall regrettable experience. If you do not know Jamaican food you probably would rate them 5 stars but they are not in our opinions
