The food was excellent as always, the service was lackluster. For the time we sit down, to the time we left I think I seen the waitress twice in an hour and a half. To be honest the place isn't that big, I wasn't sure where she was hiding, until we were leaving and then I noticed she was hanging out over in the to go section chatting with that dude that works there.

Dinner and service on Friday night was so good we made reservations for Saturday night as well. Several delicious menu items. We will go back very soon.

Nice spot tucked in Trolley Square. I thought the decor was quite nice and helped separate restaurant noise. Service was excellent. Our server went out of her way to be sure every need was accommodated. I felt as if we were her only customers, and yet the place was packed. Also, the food was excellent. My wife and I both had filet mignon. Mine was ordered rare to medium rare, and came spot on. My wife's was ordered medium rare, but it came out over-done. She declined the offer to have it replaced and still found it tasty. Both pieces of beef were extraordinarily tender. They were served on a substantial bed of crispy gnocchi which were delicious. There were many nice little touches such as the varietal platter of cheeses and cold cuts and wonderful bread. We are relatively new to Wilmington, having lived in Italy for 7 years, and definitely will return to dine again.

Rachel took WONDERFUL care of us! Our group had complicated dietary issues and she was SO HELPFUL and PATIENT! It was restaurant week, and I ordered one of the specials, which in included a generous charcuterie board and dessert selection that I was able to share with the table. We had a lovely evening!

The filet and short rib was amazing I'm not a gnocchi person didn't prefer it, the romaine salsa amazing and the grilled avocado and complimentary charcuterie... just an all around amazing phenomenal experience

We had a wonderful meal. Toscana never disappoints. We have been coming here for over 25 years and it is always a favorite. We were entertaining family from Minneapolis who really loved the meal and ambiance, turned out to be the perfect choice. The filet was perfectly cooked and very tasty and we always love the calimari. Thank you and your team!

We loved being able to sit outside and take advantage of the lovely weather. My chicken was a little tough.

Food was delicious. Server attentive. I thought portions were a bit small, but the price point was right so all good. We tried the Arancini, Lamb Shank, tortellini in a blush sauce, and a side of layered eggplant. The bread was brought to the table warm. The olive oil on the bread could have used some parmesan or hot pepper flakes, but it wasn't on the table, and to be honest, we did not ask for it. I think the biggest complaint is that the two top tables are small.

Always a good meal, attentive service, and reasonable prices. Chef Dan knows his business.

Birthday dinner party of 8 people. New menu features a number of interesting dishes. The appetizers were excellent as were the entrees. The evening was definitely enhanced by friendly and efficient service of Rachel and the whole staff.

Rachel was absolutely wonderful on a very busy night. She was attentive and cheerful. It was the first night of the new menu. The kitchen did well executing, but the bar fell behind. Appetizers were served and almost finished before cocktails were served.Thr arancini and grilled avocado were both delicious. The shrimp and scallops were good, but the tomato sauce was a little heavy. And through it all, Rachel maintained her smile, making it another enjoyable experience. Will definitely be back!

Went during restaurant week. The arancini balls with Gorgonzola sauce and a dash of fig jam were fabulous. The pork belly entree was delightful- not sure about texture of tomato risotto but overall very good. Tiramisu was light and airy.

We've never had a bad experience at Piccolina Toscana so it was a natural choice to go during Restaurant Week. We were seated promptly and our server, Rachel was friendly and attentive. For the first course, I enjoyed the heirloom tomatoes and my partner had the mussels, which would have been much easier to eat if a seafood fork was provided. For the second course, I had the seafood ravioli. I believe they used asiago cheese, which didn't allow for the seafood flavor to come through. My partner had pork scallopine. We both enjoyed our choices but agreed they were on the edge of being too salty. For the third course, we each selected tiramisu. It was a light, perfect ending to a delightful meal. We look forward to our next visit.

Exquisite Menu for restaurant week. Peach salad, tomatoes w/kamalata, shrimp/lobster ravioli and steak frites with polenta twist on fries with broccoli Rabe. Everything prepared with great distinction & care for the discerning palate. Also, the cuisine stands above & apart from many “fine dining” as HEALTHY. You are not loaded with salt or swollen the next day.
