Very high quality for a single stand operation, with consistent options across the board. Every meal I've had here I thoroughly enjoyed. It is difficult to remember to take pictures as it usually gone before my phone comes out.Being a small business, he will run out of products throughout the day, and may have different options depending on the day of the week. This does not hinder the experience - instead adding to the satisfaction that you were in the right place and time to receive your tasty meal.

We were just fortunate enough to sample lunch from Russell’s BBQ truck. Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic!. The meat fell off the ribs in tasty chunks, the pulled pork sandwich was moist and savory. The sweet potatoes were equally outstanding, and although not, normally a favorite of mine, the collard greens were very tasty as well. The value is great here, and we can’t wait to return and sample more items. While waiting to be served, another customer advised us “just get whatever he has and it will be good. And that was completely accurate and good advice.

I miss russels bbq. Some of the best food I’ve ever had. Russels commitment to quality food and customer service is top notch. I usually get the fried fish to immediately stuff in my face and some ribs or chicken for later. Mac n cheese, collard greens always hitting if you get there in time.

I've known Russell for awhile and watched his business grow from a small little takeout place to the new food stop that he is today. Everything is home made and all of it is excellent. It's also been good to see the business flourishing. If it is your first time visiting, you might not know what to expect, especially a place outside a liquor store, but take the chance to get to know this place better.About that food now. He has the most amazing pulled pork: I've called it meat candy as the sauce perfectly covers the pork and carmelized it. Love that j*** chicken too. The heat can sometimes be incendiary, but it's difficult to put down once you take your first bite. Very flavorful. I've tried the brisket too and that one also has caramelized sauce. All of the sides (especially the sweets) are fantastic.In conclusion, this little food stop is one of the best places for soul food around that I have had the pleasure of visiting. Talking to Russell is always a treat as well. He started out doing legal work until he decided to work for himself. We are better culinary better because of that.
