I have never given 1 star reviews ..but this place desrrves it for the quality of their food .. Ordered 6 plain naan fr take away today . Paid 17 usd . When we came home saw the nature of their naan .. just a mix of flour n water .. very thick like a rotti .. even frozen parathas tatstes 1000 times better ..this will be the first n last time we ordered from here .. Earlier we had a plan to go fr their sunday buffet .but luckily i tasted naan , so gt an idea about their over all food quality .. Fr any one who need authentic indian food pls go to bavachi , biriyani bites in PA... Bavachi is in PA. Their naans are superb..its not just a mixture of plain flour n water

i saw how the 1 star reviews has been critisized by the owner .. Its true.. This resturant is a shame for indians .. low quality cheap food. Rather coming to this place, people should browse youtube and find recepies much better ...

I had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant! The chicken tikka masala with fresh naan was incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked, while the vegetable samosas were crispy and absolutely delicious. The staff and owner were very friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Highly recommend this place for authentic Indian food and warm hospitality!

We had a wonderful experience at Taj Mahal! The food was packed with flavor especially the chicken tikka masala, fish curry, chicken shish kabobs, tandoori chicken, and garlic naan, which were all outstanding. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant itself was clean, cozy, and had a great atmosphere. They also offer a private room for events and catering services, which is a nice bonus. Definitely a place I’d recommend and one I’ll be returning to whenever I’m in the area.

Edit: the owner accused me (a racially Indian male!) of racism. Pathetic. What he cannot do is refute my points in the review. For that, I am downgrading the rating to 1 star (formerly it was 2). Like I say below, I really *wanted to like this place* but the quality of everything is atrocious.

I really wanted to like this place after reading some of the reviews. It’s a Bangladeshi restaurant (why it’s called « Taj Mahal » who knows? The Taj Mahal is in India).

My mom opened her menu to find an insect crawling inside the plastic between the pages. Great start.

We ordered the lamb Rogan Josh (turned out to be more like a ketchup lamb thing) and the lamb posada which was a chef’s « special » (and it was a sugary barely edible mess of slop also). We had two chicken items which were also below average in food quality.

The rice was completely plain. Not even a single piece of cardamom, leaf, or any hint of seasoning.

The ambiance of the restaurant was as also totally low vibes… there was some sort of Islamic chanting playing from a TV that was playing off a YouTube channel. Thankfully the chanting was broken up by ads for a Kia Sportage. Those Kia ads really livened up the atmosphere.

The artwork on the walls was of cafes in France. Great fit.

No jug of water at our table and service to refill our water was haphazard and unpredictable.

Oh and of course the restaurant looks like it belongs next to a cheap motel given its location.

I guess if you don’t know Indian food well, you might like this. But if you have a discerning palate, try Nawab’s on Kirkwood Highway or basically any other Indian restaurant.

If this is a « fine » Indian restaurant, then the Kia Sportage is a luxury automobile.

I had the chicken masala and got it medium spice, it was great. They also do a buffet with a lot of options on the weekend.

I think this place is a hidden gem. prices are very affordable, 2 can eat well for around 30$. Staff is very acommodating I recently went to pick up an order, and they were out of a bread i wanted, and they offered me anything on the menu of my choice as consolodation. Another pick up order they offered me a free beverage as i waited. I dont feel like this type of service is easy to come by. I will be coming back frequently.

We happened upon this establishment, and were greatly satisfied with the service. Once the food was served, the aroma of the food was intoxicating. The flavors of every dish that we tried was fresh and exotic. We have visited twice, and we are now looking forward to the buffet. Thank you brother Muhammad for your warm and attentive service.
