Taverna Rustic Italian Wilmington

The food, service & decor were all great. We were pleasantly surprised & will definitely dine here again.

The people behind our booth were very loud. However, it's not really a complaint towards the restaurant.

Food was very good. Staff friendly and a good server that had our table. They were very accommodating when I needed to alter our reservation. Will definitely eat at Taverna again.

Other than a very attentive young waiter, the rest of the evening was pretty much a dud. Glasses of white wine that were not properly chilled, burnt garlic bread, and two totally tasteless entrees had us out the door without even bothering to look at dessert offerings. Avoid this place!

The cuisine was really delicious. Throughly enjoyed the calamari and the pasta red sauce was quite Italian authentic which is hard to find in the Wilmington area. Oh, the pizza was lovely- thin crust~ Jonathan, the cuisine rep was extremely cordial and took good care of us! Thank you.

I ordered eggplant pram. Unfortunately it had a stale taste. The breading was obviously old and rancid. I had to send it back!

Last minute choice for turned out to be fantastic meal. First time at Taverna and everything was outstanding. Food was fantastic and great value.

Excellent food, outstanding service from the waitstaff. First time visit, however this is one is definitely added to our go-to date night list.

The food is good. However, they kept the bread oil in a plastic vat on the counter in the open kitchen where everyone could see it. Use a more decorated container or something that fits the theme if it must be in sight of the customer. Additionally the restaurant was out of beef and a Chardonnay. That shouldn't happen.

I really don’t understand why this place has a 4 star rating. It should be 5 star for sure. The food, service and ambience is amazing. Good veg and non veg options and you can customize the pasta or pizza if you don’t like anything. The spicy shrimp is my favorite.

Went for a birthday, it was great

This was our 2nd time dining here. Love the atmosphere and the menu. My husband got the rigatoni with sausage. It was amazing!! I got the gnocchi with pesto - it was good but a little too salty and some of the pasta was overdone. Our appetizers were great, we got the fried peppers and the ricotta. Will definitely be back.
