Although food is always excellent here, we went for happy hour drinks at 5 not realizing that an espresso Martini would cost $16. It was made very well but $16 in Delaware let alone Marshallton seemed outrageous. We’re not in Philly or New York. Won’t do that again.

3 stars just because of the price not matching the quality. Everyone who got steak at the table got a tough cut. Wasn’t bad just tasted like something we could have bought at shop rite and cooked at home. Apps were underwhelming and just commonplace, server was nice, scallops were terrific. Just not worth spending over $100 on a steakhouse meal. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t bad, just nothing special and very overpriced.

We had wanted to dine here for months. And had looked forward our anniversary dinner tonight. First impression arriving was the parking lot was a skating rink. Had been plowed, but obviously not salted or sanded. 2nd impression was the overflowing cigarette butts in the ashtrays, that flanked the entrance door. Upon entering, we were greeted, and though we had reservations (that stated it was our anniversary) she didn't know how to check the book and just seated us. Both soups on menu (wedding soup & crab bisque) were not available. Substitute was beef barley and broccoli/cheese.The broccoli cheese wife ordered and was very good. I ordered the shrimp cocktail, which was ok, shrimp were large. However, in a normal higher end restaurant, the shrimp are de-veined. These were not. Wife's drink advertised as having muddled raspberry. There was no muddled raspberry.I ordered a dirty martini. And it was a standard martini with olives.Main course: Wife's Steak Diane , filet tips in brandy sauce was good, but only luke warm. I had the Delmonico steak (it is labeled as a steak house...) It was very fatty and grissley. Ordered medium temp and came out as a solid rare.Woman's bathroom trash was overflowing and unkept.Men's bathroom was just satisfactory.Server was disinterested and non attentive.I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I will when it is fitting and deserved.

Went last night in a group of 12. All of the group members were raving about the food and service. Including myself. We had a nice chat with Glenn who came out and told us about the room we were dining in and how the restaurant was decorated. Super nice guy and our wait staff were friendly and patient with us all. The food was delicious and beautifully served. From the burger up to the Filet (perfectly cooked). I look forward to going back.

Very disappointing. The restaurant and atmosphere were extremely welcoming and service was exceptional. The food on the other hand was very disappointing, minimal portion size, over cooked and tasteless. It was a group of 4 and we all concurred.

I have been here for service and the brunch is great. A little steep but that's ok. I don't mind paying for quality. The Marshalton Steakhouse is quite a mouth full. I think that the Chef needs to take care of his staff also. And also his daughter is way too far in touch.

Racist/Roach infested/Hostile work environmentI worked there for a catering event for a week and the owner Glenn is psychotic/racist. He has anger issues, runs around smashing plates and screams to the workers calling them derogatory names, and refers to anyone of color as "The Blacks". I'm half Irish and African American but my appearance comes off as more Caucasian so they felt more comfortable saying racial slurs around me. One example, there was an African American family that came in to eat, and as they were getting ready to pay for the tab the owner Glenn referred to them as "The blacks that are always too poor to pay the bill". He stated this multiple times with another worker and I just overheard the conversation.Even in the short time I worked there, everyday another new hire that was scheduled before me would quit by noon because of the racist and hostile work environment the owner Glenn creates. There is a roach infestation in the basement and the way they store customers' food is disgusting. They don't wrap the food platters people order days in advance so it sits inside a warm box in the basement unwrapped and roaches inhabit those boxes. It's truly disgusting. These cookies are sold at Booths Corner Farmers Market (1362 Naamans Creek Rd, Garnet Valley, PA 19060). Glenn the owner doesn't practice safe or sanitary food preparation standards. After I discovered the roach infestation and said something to the owner about it they let me go without explanation. They sold the business to a new owner and they are trying to hide that the place is infested with roaches and mice and he figured I would let Joe (the new owner that's supposed to take over in December) know so he ended up firing me.They also have 2 kids working there ages 13-15 which I'm sure is against child labor laws. I would say most of the racist slurs came from them all day which just shows you what people teach their children behind closed doors.I've cooked as a sous chef for 10 years and this was a position I applied for because they needed a BOH manager with my level of experience but they are looking for anyone racist to work with them because they prefer like-minded individuals instead of people offering cooking skills.I would put Zero stars but that is not an option.Edit: The fact of me working there for a week does not excuse you of being racist and unsanitary. Interesting you didn't mention the others who quit the same week I worked there due to you harassing workers with your aggression (smashing plates) and calling them out their name. Anyone that worked with you would know you are psychotic buddy and need a serious moral makeover.

We love their Happy Hour specials! We're not big drinkers but we love the Happy Hour bites/apps they offer and at a great price. I especially love the shrimp salad sliders. Highly recommend. And don't miss the Dale Chihuly inspired glass chandelier. It's gorgeous as is the entire place. You'll be blown away if you're an old Hunter's Den fan. You will NOT believe what they've done to the revamp the entire restaurant. Also, I have eaten at the weekend brunch buffet and it was wonderful, along with being an excellent bargain.
