Came to Mayne Dish by a recommendation from a coworker. I asked for west indian food that was like NYC. He said nothing is gonna be like NYC but Mayne is the closest to his moms cooking. Parking in the back. This is a take out restaraunt with seating upstairs. I love the fish tank and decor. Real island vibes. I had the OX tails ($25 small) with rice and beans and mac n Cheese. The rice was the best caribean rice Ive had down here and the Mac n Cheese was on point. Very cheesy. The oxtails was good but def not what I'm used to. They had a lot of fat on it and were small. Still good. I also got a beef patty with cocobread ($6) and a carrot punch... so good! Got my fiance the Jerk Chicken ($15 lrg), rice and beans and plantains with a Jamaican pineapple soda. Again rice was on point. The jerk chicken was good but not what I'm used to. The sauce was a bit sweet like barbeque. Plantains were ok. Overall I would definiatly recommend going to Mayne Dish. Authentic Jamaican Vibes and good food.
Mac and cheese wasn’t done. Looks like they just threw the shredded cheese on the noodles and stirred it today. Rest of the food was great as usual.

My favorite Jamaican food store. Always great food and the service is top notch!
Curry chicken, mac&cheese and cabbage. The food tastes so good so fresh. I ordered a small and they fill my container up. I can definitely eat this for 2 days. Thank I’ll be back for sure!
Phenomenal catered dishes. My guests are officially their new patrons! Will be back when we have our next event. Well Done!

I had heard rave reviews so I couldn't wait to try it. I ordered the Jerk Chicken platter and had it delivered. It was the spiciest and hottest version that I have ever tasted and that includes the same meal on the island of Jamaica. Because it was so expensive instead of throwing it out I voiled a pot of water and put the chicken in the water to remove most of the overly spicy seasonings. A lot more work than I should have to do to make my meal edible. I've been eating Caribbean food for 50 years, even cook it at home and I will say never again.

That wasn't curry goat. A blind man could taste that and tell it's beef, probably bull. Even if the food was nasty, goat has a specific texture, almost gamey like lamb and rabbit. This is your third strike. Normally, they just say they ran out of goat but I guess they got tired of telling people that. I feel insulted that you would serve me that dish. One time, when they did have goat, they would skimp on the portions. I should've known something was wrong when I felt how heavy the plate was.

This place has fallen off completely! Most recent there was hair in my Mac and cheese! I could go on but the hair alone is enough for me to be done with this restaurant.
