The restaurant seemed understaffed. Rhe water spilled half my drink in delivery and was the bartender and waiter for sone reason. The music was too loud and they did lower it when requested. The food was average.

I enjoyed my experience!! I took myself out in a self love date by myself. My waiter Alex was extremely accommodating. It was my first time trying duck. She recommended the medium well and it was so good. It was grilled right to perfection. I have no complaints. In addition, i had a lemon drop for a drink it was good. I would highly recommend!

Great meal. Started with a beet salad which was delicious and a chopped wedge. Wedge wasn't my favorite presentation but all the flavors were there. Friend had braised short rib which was a good size and very good. I had the 8oz filet with crab Oscar. Delicious! It had been a minute since I visited Tonic but it'll definitely go back into my rotation. Really enjoyed the meal and service.

The short rib egg rolls were ok; the duck confit was fabulous; the rich in flavor bison short ribs with sweet carrots and savory mashed potatoes were flavorful and plentiful. The house-made butter pecan ice cream and cheesecake were so light and creamy, yummy. The chocolate tort was delicious. Save room for dessert! Everything is house-made with care. Yolanda our server was personable and knowledgeable. She made us feel like we were visiting her home. I would come back for sure.

I had an exceptional dining experience at Tonic Seafood and Steak! The food was incredibly flavorful and tasty. I opted for the salmon with sautéed spinach, and it exceeded my expectations. The service was top-notch - attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. To top it off, the ambiance was very cool and inviting. Overall, I highly recommend Tonic Seafood and Steak for a fantastic night out. 5 stars!

We decided to check out Tonic after seeing the Brandywine restaurant week advertisement. We came here on the first day of Brandywine restaurant week, but they did not seem to offer restaurant week menu to us. Since their usual menu looked interesting, we decided not to pester them about it.

We got the meat and cheese board, seafood salad, and fillet. We enjoyed everything we ordered and would recommend those. The sticky toffee pudding was okay! Too sweet for my personal taste.

Parking: The restaurant validates parking tickets (3 hours) at a nearby parking garage.

The steak was so tender you could've cut it with a spoon, and the salmon deviled eggs were surprisingly refreshing - I expected they might lay heavy on me, but that wasn't the case. The beer selection was excellent! Next time I'm back in town I'll definitely be returning to Tonic.

Great food and atmosphere. I am a frequent customer (4 times in the past week with my family lol). I've only had one disappointing experience. This past Wednesday (I think), when I was there, the special was that all burgers were $10. My son usually gets the build your own, but on this day, the waiter managed to convince us to get the kids burger meal (which essentially was the same thing but at a higher price than the special), which didn't make sense but I figured the price would be adjusted at bill time. It wasn't. I asked the hostess (after 4pm) about it, and she said the kids' price is more. I said I could have purchased the special and got the exact same thing. She said there's nothing she can do about it (in a polite way). To me, it's not about the price but the principal. There were a few more fumbles during my talk with the hostess because I had planned to go back for dinner. However, because of the responses, I departed without causing an issue, and I changed plans and opted to eat dinner with my family at the Rail Wine Bar and Grille instead. The next day, because I was still disappointed, I decided to take my family across the street from Tonic and try the Italian restaurant (Cafe Mezzanotte) that we always see while eating at Tonic. We had never gone there before, but because of the experience from the previous day, we decided to try something new. I must admit, going across the street was worth it, and the food was superb.
Anyway, I am not bashing Tonic because the food and staff at Tonic are wonderful. I just had a bad experience that day. So, I do encourage you to try Tonic.
I am kind of thankful because..... if I didn't have a gripe with Tonic, I would never have tried the restaurant across the street.

GO TO BARDEA INSTEAD!! The price we paid for the horrible quality of food we received was insane. The glaze served with steaks is so horrible and tastes like it's straight from a can. The potatoes are also extremely processed and taste like they're straight from the restaurant superstore packages. The cocktails were abysmal. Literally nothing was good. Our server was nice but didn't know the specials and we had to change one of our orders because she didn't know a type of steak we ordered was actually out of stock. Please do not waste your time and money here!! Especially in this economy. If you're going out for a nice dinner, try Bardea a couple blocks away!!

Very average food, my steak didn’t have much flavor as well as my mashed potatoes. Decent service but the wait time between ordering food & receiving was very long. Will not be returning, not worth the price.

We wanted to try somewhere new last night so we tried Tonic. It was a great decision. We had a party of 4 and we all got the 8 oz filet mignon which was amazing. The compound butter and demi glaze was delicious on the perfectly cooked steak. All the appetizers and steak were excellent along with the staff service. We will definitely be back.

Looks nice inside, server was great, food was way overpriced, and they even wanted a 3 dollar upcharge to switch from mashed potatoes to a baked potato. When you're paying almost 50 dollars for an entree, thats just egregious.
