Urban Kitchen has been one of my go-to spots for over a year now, and the consistency is unmatched. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner (we’re usually there for breakfast before church), the food is always excellent.
My must-haves: the buttermilk pancakes, stuffed mushroom crab balls, fried grouper sandwich, and shrimp quesadillas all amazing and never disappoint. I’ve tried other items too, but these keep me coming back weekly.
Service is top tier. The staff remembers orders and preferences, which says a lot. Huge shoutout to Christy!! who deserves special recognition. She has waited on us several times over the past six months and has truly become one of our favorites. Her energy, warm smile, and attentiveness make each visit feel welcoming. She even remembers that my best friend and I are usually together if she sees me, she instinctively looks around to see if my friend is with me. That kind of personal touch goes a long way.
Most recently, we came in as a party of nine to celebrate a family event and were seated in Christy’s section. She handled our large group effortlessly and took care of us as if it were just another smooth Sunday afternoon.
To be completely transparent, there was one instance where our food came out burnt. We sent it back, and it was promptly corrected. There was also a moment during that situation when the manager wasn’t as friendly as we would have hoped. Everyone has off days, and while that interaction stood out, it has not deterred us in any way from continuing to dine here regularly.
Overall, Urban Kitchen has earned our loyalty through consistently great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. One minor hiccup does not outweigh a year of positive experiences. We will absolutely continue to visit weekly and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for quality food and dependable service.

I wanted breakfast and boy did I get breakfast! I ordered the Fried Grouper with Cheesy Grits & Eggs. The food was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be going there again.

This was my 1st time here and the food was delicious and plenty. The service was excellent once seated and with that being said, I highly suggest you call ahead of time to be placed on a waiting list. The restaurant itself is not very spacious and can't really accommodate the high traffic they get but that is a testimony to how good the food is and worth waiting for. So if you're ever in the area stop in and treat yourself.

I like to taste avocado toasts in different restaurants, This is worst and most expensive avocado toast I ever had , it said it’s smashed avocado on toasts but it’s not smash and literally just some sliced avocado and tomato. $18 for this and 2 eggs with a fruit bowl?

This was a long time coming. I had been wanting to go but it was aways busy. Bow I see why the food was food and the service was great however it is not a quiet spot most of the time so be ready for the chatter of satisfied patrons. I sat at the bar today only spot that was able for 1 person and it was tight but food made up for it. Bar tender Phil was a nice man but a meal will be pricey so keep it in mind

All aspects of the restaurant is a five star ⭐ my only recommendation would be go early or wait until the mid-afternoon because everyone loves it. I would recommend this place to my family members and friends.

Eric Truxon and I had our first breakfast date at The Urban Kitchen in Wilmington, DE on Saturday morning and I’m convinced this place is where happiness lives! Established in 2021, they’ve perfected the art of comfort food meets foodie fantasy.
Special shoutout to our food tour guide, Naz 🙌 — because LAWD, everything on that menu looked so good I almost ordered the whole page 😂. Naz was patient, informative, and made sure our first visit was nothing short of amazing.

We had the same table for 7 on Thursday and Friday this week for breakfast. The waitresses on both days were terrific. The eggs were made exactly as requested, the link sausage and the scrapple is perfect. Could not ask for a better breakfast. Thanks Urban Kitchen!

The food here is undeniably delicious—we used to visit often and always enjoyed our meals. However, during our most recent visit, we found multiple eggshells in my baby’s food. I asked to speak with someone about it, and they sent over the owner. Up until this point, he had always been kind, but when I brought up the issue, his demeanor completely changed. He was dismissive, arrogant, and acted as though I had somehow put the eggshells there myself. There was no accountability, and he even walked away while I was still speaking.
It was incredibly disappointing, especially given how much we’ve supported this place. Honestly, the only reason we’ve continued coming back is because of Fredo—he’s an outstanding server who always makes us feel welcome.
