I was NOT disappointed! I decided to come here for a Saturday lunch after scrolling through the options in Wilmington. I was able to find parking on the street easily. I walked in, sat at the bar right away and was quickly greeted with a friendly bartender. I was super excited to see that they have Leinie’s on tap! As a Wisconsin native I couldn’t pass up the Leinie’s Juicy Peach sour. It was a great and refreshing drink. I also enjoyed the French Onion Soup. It came out piping hot and was perfect. I am glad I made it here and will definitely be back!

We visited for the first time this past weekend. We were not disappointed. Great food and drinks were had. The hotel restaurant was unavailable, so this place was the top recommendation. Try it!

Had an amazing burger for lunch with a couple of the most incredible ladies - they loved the blackened shrimp quesadillas! We loved the food, atmosphere and service!

We ordered burgers (smoke bbq and bacon ranch) both were very good .. tasty burgers but what stole the show was the Peach Long Island Iced Tea which is delightfully "problematic"—it's so strong and tasty, you’ll want another before you finish the first, if your not completely rekt.. This drink is like a mischievous friend who always brings the party, promising a night you won’t forget (even if you try). Sip wisely, because this peachy powerhouse guarantees a deliciously chaotic time! That drink wrote this review

I arrived 30 minutes before closing. I grabbed a seat and nobody waited me for 5 minutes, I stopped a waiter to ask for a menu, after 3 mins she brought me one, she stepped back and then after 2 more minutes I was ready to order, she came back and told me the kitchen was closed. Closing early should be disclosed at arrival. Definitely not a good experience

Great selection of drinks and beers. Food was pretty tasty too I had the spicy ranch burger. I wouldn't say it was very spicy. They just threw a few jalapenos on it. The atmosphere is very cool though especially if you're at the bar.

This place was a short walk from our hotel. We stopped for quick bite and got their Tuesday special burgers menu. We picked some burgers and we were happy with our choices. Totally worth it!

So I was just there for the very first time in the restaurant. The manager(I guess??♂️??♂️ he never introduced himself) just rudely refused us service and when I asked why, he simply responded that the staff didn't feel comfortable and that he was allowed to refuse service to anyone.
Since the exchange was rude and no actual reason was given as to why i was denied my meal and the fact that my party complied with every request of the staff, i am forced to assume that they did not want to serve disabled people in wheelchairs.
That manager or owner or dishwasher or even guest (for all I know since he never introduced himself to me) really needs to work on his people skills and delivery.
I dont have a problem with finding a different place for my birthday celebration next month but that gentleman should rethink his career choice. Its a shame too since I still have not gotten to try the food but even if the menu is the best around that experience left a very sour and mildewed taste behind.
You can refuse service but you can not discriminate.
Thumbs down for that guy.
White male with a bald head wearing and blue and white vertical stiped shirt. Do better and be better sir

I work at the hospital and ordered take out twice on my dinner break. The first time I ordered chicken and fries ( my chicken was hard and dry) fries so salty. I just ordered again no love in preparation of food presentation just opening up my take out container, cheesesteak so sloppy and my Cole slaw is not any good, it went bad. Called and I’ve been on hold for almost 15 minutes waiting on a manager to pick up. My dinner break is over . Not too mention when I walk to get your food customer service isn’t good at all.

I recently moved back to my Midtown Brandywine home after 3 years away and was eager to go back to one of my favorite neighbor haunts, Washington St. Ale House. I have been a regular at WSAH for over 15 years and looking so forward to hanging there 5+ days a week! Of course, all restaurant/bars have suffered badly during the pandemic, so I was glad to see my FAV had survived and I expected prices would be up a bit!
I was at first pleasantly surprised and then completely dis-heartened. The first thing I saw was the exploded draft beer selection. WOW! Nice upgrade with all new beers all so very interesting. Limited for time, I just wanted to get the new vibe, pick up my fav-of-all chili to go and have a quick drink. So I ordered a LARGE chili to go and a Dewars scotch on-the-rocks.
The pour was smaller than usual, but I figured maybe a newer Bar Tender .. I used to know them all! My chili arived and I got the check. I was SHOCKED! Not only had a $6 scotch almost DOUBLED in price over 3 years, but I was amazed to see something I had NEVER seen before .. anywhere! They actually charged me for ICE! $2.50. That's $1.25 for each of the two 1/2" square ice cubes that promptly disappeared! So a medium grade scotch that costs $8 just around the corner cost me $14 for 2 fingers of scotch (including those golden ice cubes).
I am an Engineer, so I calculated the price of ice at WSAH=$90/oz!!!
I WANT that GOLDEN ice machine!
When I got home, insult to injury, the large chili "bowl" had shrunk in size about 30% whilst the price UP from $7/"bowl" in 2021 to $10 per 14 Oz.
Stale tortilla chips just increased my displeasure/ Kuckily I have my own crisp ones at home!
Sorry to say, I will NEVER be returning to WSAH again, I am truly hurt that WSAH has become expolitative in feel DISRESPECTED ans INSULTED by this money-hungry pricing and complete disregard for me as a formerly loyal Customer! Same goes for the rest of the Big Fish group's restaurants including my former favs Mikimotos and Big Fish Grill as I expect I'll find the same Customer disrespect. So glad that TONIC hasn't fallen into the same money trap, and now THEY are my new neighborhood fav as well as my friends who are equally appalled.

The manager Patty was extremely rude and disrespectful to her employees, murmuring things behind their backs. And told ALL of the bar guests to chill out while one guest asked for a aatv to be changed. I refuse to be told to chill out while I'm sitting enjoying food and drink regarding something I'm nit involved in. This old lady clearly shouldn't be in the hospitality industry. I will never come back here so long as she is a MANAGER of all roles. Demote her to the dishes.
