Everything was great, I live in maryland and Mike and Mel's is 45 min away. So I need them to open a place up in chestertown. CHESTERTOWN is in need of a good restaurant. I always buy extra food to take. Please try thier food. Pies are great and homemade. All the food taste like my grandmother's. My grandmother was a great cook. Best vegetable beef soup, and dried bean soup. I noticed how nice and helpful the waitresses are with their elderly customers, many remembering their favorite drinks and meals. That is something you never see any more.Thank you all so much.

Understand this is a small town diner so expect that. The owners are slowly making improvements to a once dated facility. We have become weekend "regulars" and occasionally go there for dinner. Saturday mornings can get busy so don't expect "fast food" times as the food is made to order. Additionally you may have to wait for a table as they can fill up during certain times.

Honestly it’s nothing like the long time staple halls very disappointing to many budget cuts have been made many if they hire someone that knows how to cook it may possibly get better not garuntee it would make it 100% better but maybe a little when me and the wife went our first and last time since it became mike & Mel’s the pancakes where raw on the inside and all the other food was cold mike and Melissa are wonderful people but the the food at the restaurant needs a good amount of improvement for me

Horrible experience. The waitress was not pleasant. The chili was extremely spicy and again, the waitress was unsympathetic. I did not enjoy my meal and I will not return. Other people may post that the food at Mike and Mel’s is excellent but it was not what I experienced.
Waited 25 minutes for our waitress to get to our table. Food and atmosphere made the wait worthwhile. Prices most reasonable, waitress very friendly and on top of situation without being overbearing. We will be going
