We met old friends at this cozy, comfortable restaurant in downtown Alachua. After consulting the wall menu, with reasonable prices for everything, we ordered at the counter. Our friends paid cash, but we tapped to pay our bill with a credit card.
The food came in a reasonable time - hot and great to look at. Everything was delicious! My friend and I had the Cobb salad with grilled chicken. We agreed that it was so good! His wife had the grilled cheese with fries and Husband had the double smash cheeseburger with fries. Both must have been good because neither left anything on their plates!
The young woman who brought our food and cleared our table was pleasant and efficient. Next time we visit our friends, we want to come back here for lunch!

Best breakfast ice ever had! Honey chicken biscuits were amazing, and the hash brown casserole was awesome! I in no way could finish it, so it could be a breakfast for two. Definitely recommend it!

Our first time going since Harvest Thyme left. Food was amazing, there was a line immediately walking in and seats full. It still didnt take long to get to the front to order, however im not a fan of the menu being on the wall because you have to know what you want when you get up there. The staff checked on us mid way though the meal was nice, not much of an atmosphere, it was loud In there but we didnt need to yell. No music in the background which would have been nice. Prices were high in my opinion but in all honestly i feel its average nowadays. For 2 people it was almost $50
Second visit: Food was great, average wait to get our food, no line to order. Seating was available. I got the Chicken, Bacon ranch sandwich. Couldn't taste the ranch at all but it was still good (came on toast). My other half got the sweet heat sandwich, he said it was GREAT! 2 sweet teas, about $40.
Simple yet excellent breakfast menu, food was absolutely delectable! Plate pictured is the Piglet omelet, the cheese casserole was amazingly good

We visited Southern Taste on Saturday after a women’s conference. We had a group of 20+ ladies with us. The staff and owner seemed as if it was no big deal at all. No one was stressed, the staff was completely courteous. The food was AMAZING. These days, it’s hard to find a place that is efficient with courteous staff, and amazing food all in one place. We appreciated that so much. We will be back again and again! The Aussie Burger and the Southern Original are my two favorite meals there! Try them out!
