“This is the very first restaurant a new-found friend took me to after I moved to Gainesville FL from Philadelphia PA back in 2018/2019. A very cozy and comforting atmosphere and I was so happy to connect with someone during a tumultuous time period. I felt safe here. The service was nice, kind, friendly and respectful. Just what I needed. I really appreciated this restaurant. 💗”

“So I moved to the area about a year ago. Long story short, my family and I eat there more than any other local restaurant. Axel runs an incredible kitchen and bar. The food is incredible. I've tried most of the menu and there hasn't been anything that we thought was lack luster. Great food, great atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend to anyone in town. All the servers have been great but special shout out to Megan that goes above and beyond.”

“The chicken wings are excellent! I don't know what they marinate them in but they have a great flavor. Their wonton soup also was excellent. We had a teriyaki chicken dinner and the chicken was great. The fried rice was a bit bland, but still good. Chicken chow mein was just like what I would get in NY. The onions and cabbage were soft and the chicken was what it should be in chow mein. Added some soy sauce to give it just a bit more flavor. Overall 5/5!!”

“Doxa Coffee Co. is a wonderful cafe in Alachua, which serves coffee and basic teas. I tried the blueberry lavender special matcha latte, iced with oat milk. It was delicious and tasted almost like a blueberry lavender muffin (just a little too sweet for me). They have a good area to sit and do work or have a casual conversation with friends. They also seem to sell a variety of interesting items, which I'll have to check out next time.
