“The husband and wife owners of Rum138 are true gems, lovely people with a wealth of knowledge of the Sante Fe River. My friend and I rented kayaks for a 6 mile trip from Rum Island to Sante Fe Park. They made it effortless for us with a quick education about what to expect along the river and how to contact them at the boat ramp for pick up. We had the best time and would highly recommend Rum138 for beginner kayaking and experienced paddlers alike. They also carry waterproof phone cases and other items that you may have forgotten to bring and snorkel masks too. 5 stars, 10/10 would book with them again.”

“before coming into the shop to get ice cream, someone had hit me with their moped and left me there suffering on the ground right in front of the shop. But Daniel ( a heroic individual and hard worker at the icecream shop) invited me in and said the eggnog ice cream will make all of my troubles disappear! He was right. “There’s so much to like about this place. You come in through a garden type atmosphere with an enclosed bar, plenty of seating and sometimes outdoor entertainment. The water tower in the back is the cherry on top. It’s not like your traditional sit down restaurant as you come in, order and take your number and find your seat in a variety of places. There is a pool and arcade room to your left, traditional horseshoe bar to the right then as you go further more seating with a lounge type seating area. Behind that are two private rooms with pool tables and seating. The food is reasonably priced and yummy. The staff is great and suitable for families as well as a nightlife spot for singes. Definitely worth trying out for yourself!”

“My husband and I are traveling with our OTR trucker schedule, and we stayed across the street at a truck stop for the night when we noticed this place. We walked over and ordered 2 tacos, 2 chicken quesadillas, and 1 California burrito to share. We paid in the building next door, and our food was ready quickly.

It was honestly some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had! We got so full that we even had leftovers for a midnight snack—and I still have a few bites left for tomorrow. Not a single bite will go to waste!

We’ll definitely stop here every time we’re in the area. Incredible food—highly recommend! ✌️👍🌞”
