I was in Anna Maria Island on vacation during spring break with my teen daughter- All resteraunts were packed but was able to find a seat at Slims, which was very busy also. Despite how busy they were, staff worked hard service and food were great
Amazing food and service was top-notch. Nobody looks unhappy when they are here.

Came for dinner. Sat for about 5 minutes until we went and sought out a waitress hiding in the back. Lobster Mac and cheese was terrible. Completely bland and the lobster was fishy. The Philly tater tots was a waste of money. The Philly pretzels were hard and I suspect they were just microwaved. So disappointed.

We got take out. And I’ll say this. There is a lot of good food on AMI, and this food ranks right up there with it. Lobster Mac and Cheese was delicious, as was the other 9 things we ordered to split. It’s a sports pub with ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ food. Will definitely return!

I have to laugh at a recent Five star review saying they had fries and a burger and how gorgeous the staff is and how beachy it is inside 😂 they don’t even have fries there and there is absolutely zero “beachy” in Slims. 😂
Third time trying to eat here. First two attempts they closed early. First attempt, the barmaid yelled over at us before we were all inside the door THE KITCHEN IS CLOSED, WE’RE JUST DRINKING NOW. It was almost an hour earlier than the posted hours said. Second attempt, we went back a day later an hour and a fifteen mins before kitchen closed, waitress said “we’re still serving but hurry up and get your orders in.’” Um, no, I’m not hurrying up…
I don’t know why we even made the third attempt….the place is small, they don’t have a full bar, just beer and cheap wines, and it’s dark and not welcoming, nothing special in a strip mall.
Unfortunately, the third attempt we were successful in getting in. The wings were atrocious, the worst I’ve ever had. They served them without separating the wingettes from drum, whole. Who does that? How lazy that they can’t even bother to run a knife through and separate them. Even worse, they were undercooked and flabby - and we had asked for well done. They also didn’t put any sauce on them. Sent them back.
The “Philly” Soft pretzel was a frozen defrosted super pretzel. Ridiculous. You can get a way better pretzel at the checkout counter at WaWa for 2 bucks. Philadelphia is known for its soft pretzels and these did Philly dirty. If you’re gonna use the Philadelphia connection, at least get a decent pretzel.
The burgers tasted heavily like an unclean gas grill, and the burgers were dripping the black greasy residue. It was just gross. The fried egg on top was overcooked like a scrambled egg. It cost $25. They didn’t have fries, only tater tots, and it’s hard to mess them up. We’re from Philly. My family had a very busy pizza/hoagie shop for 25 years. This was a disgrace to Philly. Apparently from what the waitress told us, the owner isn’t much involved anymore. They’re def riding on the Philly connection. This place has nothing to do with Philly except the name and some signs. Also, their ATM doesn’t work/out of service.
Looking at other recent reviews here, they have some people running it now who don’t understand or care about customer service and how to talk to people. Woman yelling across the room AT people who are trying to patronize the business, and the kitchen guy glaring out at you when you send back the food that was prepared wrong - is everything you need to know. Avoid this place. Way better options around where they actually want to serve you some food.
Prices are ridiculous.

I enjoyed my Philly cheese steak sandwich very much but thought it was on the shy side portion-wise since it was about $19 for an 8" sandwich. The roll was authentic Philly style, and perhaps this is part of the reason why it's pricey. The service was very friendly but a bit slow and disjointed, we had to remind them about our appetizer which didn't arrive until we were midway through the sandwiches. It wasn't super busy but they were probably trying to clean up to close too or maybe they got a bunch of near closing time orders at once. I'd definitely go back and give the service another shot and try out other menu items too.

Food was good and service was great. Only dinging them because the kitchen forgot our order so it took over an hour to get our food. Waitress was apologetic and comped our drinks. So she did the best given the situation.

Fantastic place to beat the heat! Indoor dining literal hole in the wall place you love to find and come back again and again!! Walk inside and basked in the Philly decor! This place was a gem! Friendly staff Sherry waited on us during our visit she was prompt and. Informative! This place has daily specials and a happy hour! Card accepted but cash is king here!!
We ordered bloodyary,a hurricane, ice cold beer and Stella all of which did not disappoint!! No liquor here but the wine based cocktails were expertly described and made to order!
We observed lots of to go orders going out so we had to sample the food.
The food DID NOT disappoint! The daily special was a Philly cheesesteak omg it is the real deal!! Thinly sliced steak with onions, fresh mushrooms and hot peppers with cheese all on a perfectly toasted roll! It was so good I’m definitely coming back for one of these delights again! We also had the wings these are full wings! They were great too!
Don’t pass this gem over open for lunch and dinner we will be here annually and enjoy

If I could give the blond waitress/bartender a zero star for service I would. She scolded us for putting 5 at a 4 top table and then scolded someone else for putting 3 at a 5 top. Good lord lady don’t you have better things to worry about then how any ppl are sitting at a table. Have some better service training and customer service skills. If I hadn’t been with four other ppl I would’ve walked out.
