Sat down. Ordered drinks and apps. Waited about 40 minutes. No food came out. Was then told computers were down so no food. When I went in to pay the bill a rude waitress said too bad, what can we do, never come back… Would have thought they would at least apologize???

Left us outside sitting there expecting to get the “to die for wings” that probably aren’t even good but I wouldn’t know because they didn’t bring us food and said there computer didn’t work but they could get us drinks and not food. One of the worst experiences I’ve had a restaurant.

My family and I stopped in over Thanksgiving weekend hoping wanting a drink and a bite to eat. Yes, it was busy because of the Eagles game.. but nothing justifies the way we were treated. The man “greeting” customers (a bald, short man who appeared to be either the owner or the manager) acted as if we were an inconvenience simply for walking in. His tone was essentially, “We’re full, get out” and before we could even process that, he barked “Get out of the way, get out of the way” at us as a waitress tried to pass. Not a polite request, not basic courtesy.. just pure hostility.
The whole interaction was so unnecessarily aggressive that I was honestly stunned. My family lives on the island and we genuinely try to support local businesses especially after the island was devastated during the 2024 hurricane season. But the complete lack of basic human decency from someone running a business that relies on community support was beyond disappointing. It was embarrassing. And judging by their already terrible reviews, this behavior isn’t new. It’s a pattern.
To be clear: No employee, owner or manager should ever speak to customers the way we were spoken to. Ever. If this is how leadership behaves, it’s no wonder the rest of the experience falls apart.
Do yourself a favor and skip this place. There are plenty of other local spots on the island run by people who are actually polite, grateful & deserving of your business.

We arrived at opening to watch the college football game NE vs IA. Little to no service the moment we sat down. But we had a group of 9 who drank and ate . We were let known our table was reserved for the eagles game during the end of the third quarter of the game we came to watch . Server came and told up to basically finish up and leave. We’d all still planed to finish the game and order food but felt like we were kicked out , really sad Slim’s Place. No one mentioned the tables reserved when we came in , and no one came back to our table after . Would not recommend Slim’s Place unless you are an Eagles fan , clearly that’s all they serve

This is a can't miss destination when we come to the Island. We love, love, love their Cheesesteaks! The service is hit or miss and if you are in there for the game it is a loud atmosphere. Go in with expectations to be surrounded by some passionate sports fans. The food is worth it.

Beer and Wine only. Very loud place. Ordered the burger 2 times. First night burnt outside rare inside. 2nd time it was decent until got to middle where it was rare. Potato salad was average order the tots. If looking for beers and dive bar atmosphere give it a whirl. Looking for food and liquor drinks throw a stone you'll hit a better place
Great little sports bar which does Philly Cheesesteak’s right. Best I’ve had in Florida. Good range of menu options. Loved the atmosphere.

Been coming to AMI since 1988, and tonight was the first time at Slims. OMG, such a GREAT place. The Philly was the BEST I’ve ever had!! Met a local in there who knows the owners well and he even said, you can’t go wrong with anything you decide to order. We are here for two weeks and we WILL be back!!!

I was in Anna Maria Island on vacation during spring break with my teen daughter- All resteraunts were packed but was able to find a seat at Slims, which was very busy also. Despite how busy they were, staff worked hard service and food were great
