Sandbar Seafood & Spirits

Overrated. If you are a tourist, you will love it. Expensive for what you get but the view is beautiful. You have nothing to compare it to from past experience. I knew something was off before entering. More formal. Very sterile and modern. Quantity of food served and selection down. What has happened is owners for decades sold out to corporation that owns other restaurants. Just did not feel like home any more.

The Sandbar is an iconic location to dine on Anna Maria Island, and the perfect location to bring visiting guests to enjoy great food and a beautiful setting for sunset. That was our plan for dinner last night and as always, the Sandbar delivered. Service was great, the food was delicious, and the even without clouds, the sunset was beautiful.

Our waitress was absolutely amazing. She was right on top of everything. She was fun and engaging.

The food was good. Service was very slow. We were there rather late and our server never seemed to be in any rush to attend to us, take our orders, etc. Otherwise it was fine.

Love going to the sandbar when at AMI. Always the right vibe with good food and good drinks.

A bit pricy but not unlike most other “nicer” eating establishments on the island. Good food and good service.

First time visit, the location was fun. It was right on the beach. The food was good, nothing outstanding that comes to mind.  Wouldn't recommend for a special occasion or a date night, restaurant was very loud and it was hard to carry on a conversation. I would definitely recommend it more for lunch.

We had toes in the sand dinner and watched an amazing sunset! The grouper and red snapper were amazing! Super fresh and the service was super good! Thanks for a memorable dinner

Good food en good service. We ate inside because it was a bit chilly. But if you can sit outside. Great view of the beach.

A great view of the Gulf of Mexico and great for sunsets. Food is fine but not over the top. It's more about the experience.

What a disappointment! Always been one of our ‘Go to' places but not now. Menu choices poor and food was like warm and soggy. What happened to the lovely fish dishes? Understand new owners - if so they need to seriously up their game.

Waited 40 minutes for food. My Dinner was cold and Steak had way too much seasoning. Dissatisfied with my food. Disappointing that Crab Stuffed shrimp no longer on menu

We love eating at the sandbar! We would love to see non plastic straws and cups, being as they're on the beach. No need for plastic cups indoors, and if we all make small changes a little can go a long way for the turtles and our beaches :)
