Fried Green Tomatoes were awesome!
Table of 7 all were very happy with their food. Already made a note of where they will be moving so we can come again next time we are visiting!

Great views, A/C indoor options or dine outside on 2 bd floor balcony. I will dine there again. Great food all around. Service outstanding. Parking was easy to fine even on Memorial Weekend 2024. Highly recommend.

I have never given a negative review of a restaurant. I work in the food service industry and I try to keep in mind a lot of the things that go into the operation of a restaurant. Sometimes, there are situations that can’t be avoided or outside influences that affect service, this I understand. All this in mind, we weren’t super pleased with our dinner at Lou’s Bar + Eatery.I don’t want to immediately get into the negative, there are things that worked. The atmosphere was very nice, we sat on the balcony and it was very nice. The inside was neat as well, a cool upstairs spot. The food was alright, though we were a little disappointed with the portion sizes, as well as the appetizer and sides. We were specifically frustrated with the size of the shrimp basket, wish the portion was size was listed on the menu. We also weren’t super impressed with the Queso and Chips, it felt as though they were store bought. That being said, we were much more disappointed into the service. When we first walked in, we weren’t initially greeted, and a customer appearing to be a regular had to wave a server down for us. Our server didn’t give us his name, he just handed us menus and told us to sit wherever outside. (We requested outside) We weren’t given much attention and our server wasn’t very friendly, at one point bringing us drinks while on his mobile phone. We also didn’t get our appetizer until after our entrees, and were given an excuse that the kitchen was making more queso instead of an explanation beforehand as to why it might take a minute, or an apology after the fact. When he brought out our checks, he didn’t even say goodnight to us.We were just wanting a good dinner, but this sort of situation has been a reoccurring thing at restaurants like this. It feels as though we are being taken advantage of, to a degree, because we’re clocked as tourists who won’t be in town next week.I mean no disrespect in this post, I just want to reflect our experience here and hopefully offer something for them to work on.

For a great, casual option with a lovely view on the second story in Apalach, Lou's is doing a great job! I enjoyed the Mahi sliders (Big Fish on menu) and husband raved about the Italian. Nice cocktails, nothing too fancy but just as laid back as we were looking for. Nice to have another restaurant in town and an improvement on the previous option in that space for sure!

Bartender Stacy was great, very attentive. Mahi slider was overcooked and dry. However the basil Flatbread was really tasty!

This is a great second floor restaurant with good food and service. There is a ramp located at the end of the building if you don’t do stairs. We were greeted promptly and told we could sit anywhere. There is both indoor and outdoor dining but as it was a bit cold we chose indoors.I had the smash sliders sans bun with a side salad from the salad bar. Not a huge salad bar but adequate and everything fresh. My husband started with the fried green tomatoes. They looked excellent and I wish I could have tried them (but for the breading). He said they were tasty. He then had a flatbread pizza which he said was good but unexciting, but then he chose the boring pepperoni one instead of one of their fancier editions.A nice addition to the local restaurant scene.
Wheelchair accessibility: A ramp at the end of the building.

I don't give many negative reviews but this is an exception. Not sure where these good reviews are coming from. Took about an hour to get our food and when it came it was cold and bland. My mother ordered soup which came out luke warm. We sent it back and it came out cold again... We also had the fried shrimp which was aweful and tasted like it was from the freezer section of a supermarket. You're better off literally anywhere else. Apalachicola is in dire need of decent restaurants and this place definetly is not it.

Charming restaurant! First time here - had the chicken salad melt for lunch, along with a side of Greek pasta salad - both were delicious! Friendly, prompt service. Highly recommend!
