Food was excellent. Shrimp and Grits seasoned to perfection and wife’s carbonara was a hit as well. My young son finished off his entire chicken tender meal. Food came out quick and piping hot. Server was pleasant.
We enjoyed dining outside with views of charming Apalachiola and the river beyond. Our server was very attentive despite having multiple large groups to serve that evening. She was friendly, shared suggestions and brought our orders quickly. The kitchen was slammed that night, and yet our food was perfect. It was served in a timely manner, was beautifully plated and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. I had the catch of the day which was Redfish. It was light, fresh and an abundant portion. Others in our party had the Linguini with shrimp, the fish and chips and the strawberry salad. We all enjoyed our meals very much. One thing to absolutely order is the Duck Fat Fries -- They are definitely not a "light" choice but they are DELICIOUS. We made friends with the resident kitty - Hooch who visited our table when he found out we had some extra bites of fish. Overall this was the highlight of our week vacationing in the Port St Joe area and we will be back hopefully next year.
Absolutely delicious! Oysters on the half shell were so fresh! The friend shrimp were perfect! The catch of the day was beautiful and so yummy!
We have always enjoyed the Owl Cafe, and the food has always been good, but our meal last night was very disappointing. We both ordered the ribeye steak, and it was not good. It was fatty and tough. The sides that came with it were good and our chocolate cake was enjoyable, but the steak ruined the experience.
The best food we had all week. So so delicious. My husband got the shrimp and grits and loved it. The hostess was very friendly. Our waitress was also great. 20% gratuity added for our party of 6 adults and 1 baby. Mentioning this in case it matters to anyone. We almost missed it until someone double checked their bill. We had the whole back room to ourselves for a bit and it was great. We went on a Wednesday evening. I will visit this place again!
Food was great. We eat at the Owl every time we visit St. George Island. They sat us near the bar and it was a little noisy, next time I would ask not to be seated in that area.
You just can not go wrong with dining at the OWL !! Kelly is a EXCELLENT SERVE.. she knows what you need before you know you need it. The CHEF was on top of it Saturday evening !! EXCELLENT AND PERFECT. Thank-you
Tried the Owl Cafe for dinner and was not disappointed. The tables with white tablecloths always makes a statement to me. I ordered the fish and chips. 4 nice size pieces of fish with a breading that was just perfect, slightly crispy and not very thick. The fries were hot and crispy on the outside and soft inside. Some of the best fish and chips I have had. My wife had the chicken salad and she said it was very good and very fresh. The bread was good and I over heard people at the next table talking about the bread. For dessert I got the pecan pie tart which was delicious. Over all a fabulous dinner and highly recommended.

The only good “nice” restaurant in town. I only came for oysters and appetizers - this is the only place you can get oysters with a proper mignonette sauce.
Perfect pairing is a martini and the duck fat fries which are indulgent. I didn’t love their crab dip (the seasoning is maybe a bit over powering with the delicate crab) but others might prefer it.

Our family ordered food from both land and sea. Every dish at our table was a hit! The upscale vibe made it feel special, but the staff made it feel approachable. Every time we come to Apalachicola we’ll be dining here.

Such a cute restaurant. We go to Taproom a lot which we love but wanted to try the Owl Cafe brunch. Everything was just ok. Not worth sending back but just a little dry and not very flavorful unfortunately.
We've been dining at The Owl for years, and always love it, but this week had a great experience at the bar, thanks to Austin the bartender. He made excellent cocktails, and made us feel so at home. He's got some great things planned for happy hours there, so definitely check out the new mini-martini menu! On our next trip to Apalach, we'll definitely be back to the bar to catch up with Austin. (You'll find Austin at the bar at the restaurant upstairs. The downstairs is the Tap Room, which also serves excellent drinks.)

Birthday dinner. Had Triple Tail fish for the first time. It was great. Good menu, nice staff.
The Owl is a great place to eat and we love it,the issue is the fact the we were allowed to make a reservation but the restaurant is closed on Monday. The tap room which is the bar attached to the Owl did their best to accommodate us we were very disappointed not being able to eat at our favorite restaurant in Apalachicola.
