So I called to make a reservation and apparently I was speaking to a woman that works on the bar side of the establishment. My first question was if I could make a reservation. She said "no, we don't take reservations." Fair enough. I then asked if there was a difference between the "tapas" restaurant and the "cafe". (The website isn't super clear about this distinction.) She proceeds to hand me over to someone else because she just doesn't have the patience. She is literally laughing as she is handing the phone over. Super professional. I'm now speaking to a guy who proceeds to tell me that the woman I was just speaking with is essentially lazy and just didn't want to deal with taking a reservation and that they do, indeed, take reservations. He also answered my question about the difference between the cafe and the tapas bar - my understanding is that they are 2 separate rooms but same establishment and kitchen. Just wow.

The ambiance was nice. The drinks were not bad. The food could really use some work. This place is not quite ready for primetime.

I dined at Tamara's on Saturday and unfortunately I ordered the Thanksgiving sandwich; worst meal I've ever had in Apalachicola! Others in our party had the Grouper Sandwich and they said it was great. I will never order the Thanksgiving Sandwich from Tamara's again.

Happy hour drink specials are good. Music was bad and way too loud. Grouper cheeks are awesome. Steer clear of shrimp al ajillo - appetizer of 6 very small shrimp at $14 is a rip off (I should have taken photo). Used to be large/jumbo shrimp that were served if I recall correctly. If larger shrimp are in short supply, the cook should go by weight and not by count. Better value to go elsewhere in Apalachicola. Not sure we will return but would possibly go back for those amazing grouper cheeks which were a better value for $27. I should mention service / servers were good. 3 stars due to shrimp, guy singing was terrible which impacted atmosphere and vibe.

How can I say this-- this bar is quite simply the best bar in the world. Period Yelp says I have to write more, but what more can I say? Danny, you're the best!

Alex was the best, laid back easy going he will take care of you. If he's not helping his other servers were there! Very generous on substitutions, fish and garlic potatoes were excellent. Ms Tamara would be proud of her son and grandson

The creamy asparagus soup is some of the best soup I’ve ever had!! Had a band playing chill/fun rock music, great atmosphere and a really nice bar to hang out at.
