Disclaimer* I spent 20 years in NY. Every Saturday was Chinese take out night. He Hop is now my go to spot for Chinese food so bad that it's good. Unlike the surrounding Chinese restaurants.*

It is what it is. Bourbon chicken was sweet but not too sweet. Lo mein was sweet and savory. Cooked perfectly. Fried rice was okay, probably weakest aspect of dinner. Egg rolls were oily but tasty. The crab wontons were creamy and perfect. Service was fast and friendly. Prices are good.

I found a roach in my food. It was small but I could see the antenna. They often have the doors open with limited AC running. They use a lot of fans. This is my last time getting food from the He Hop Chinese Restaurant.

This place has the worst shrimp and lobster sauce and ribs I have ever eaten. If it wasn't so far I'd take it back. Don't eat here...I love chinese food, eat it often. This is the worst I've ever had. Disappointed New Yorker

Not happy , this is disgusting

I’ve been going here for years! I really enjoy the beef with broccoli and the veggie lo mein and the shrimp fried rice.:) with a pork egg

I'm used to straight good NY Chinese food but this is straight TRASH. I only order one dish. Chicken chow mein w garlic sauce. How hard is that. No flavor except sugar. Smh. But the reason for this review is the last time I went on a not so busy afternoon. Those lovely fried chicken wings t hey are charging over $8. For were fried in a tub and under the cabinet in the heat and out for the bugs and there was another one in the back. Just put in the open. They looked like I surprised them and I wasn't supposed to see that. Should have called the health dept. Oh no. I am calling the health dept. DO NOT EAT HERE. DO NOT EAT HERE. DO NOT EAT HERE ????????????????????????????????????????

If I could give no stars I would. I ordered egg rolls and they were so so so oily I couldn't even eat them . The crab ragoons had so much cream cheese I couldn't even eat that. Waste of my money never eating there again!

So disappointed! The last few times I ordered, I was turned off and stopped ordering food for me. Today I tried again, I got General Tso’s chicken with Fried Rice. The chicken was unetable fried breading, You used to have white meat chicken, what happened? The fried rice was yellow rice…. no veggies, pork. I thru it all in the garbage and have terrible heartburn!! What is happening now??? I saw the same owners tonight. I will never come back until I see Positive reviews again.

We had food here a couple of times and it was good. Last night my daughter got food poisoning after eating from here. I mean full on all night vomiting and the other end too. I will never eat here again.

This was my first visit, and I usually judge a asian, restaurant by their egg foo yong, so I have to say that this was the most authentic egg foo yong I’ve been served, it was made without all the fillers that make you feel full (gluten free). I think I’ll try the chicken wing with pork fried rice tomorrow.
