The lady that seems to be working every time we go in is one of the friendliest people I've seen in a long time, the subs are great.

Decent food and owners really nice. Employees cannot refund you if they make a mistake so confirm your order and price before paying. For that reason I'm giving the service a 1. Was overcharged and told to come back later.

You should check out the Sobiks in Apopka before you advertise. A place I have visited with my parents and grandparents. Here's my review of my visit on the 15th of Februrary, 2023. I was born and raised in Orlando, recently moved to the panhandle. I drove 150 miles to celebrate my friends b day on the 15th. I told her she would eat the best sub ever. Once we arrived, my friend went inside to use the restroom to wash her hands, while I stayed in car with my companion dog. My friend was told by the employee by a hand motion, " It's out back." My friend went out back, only to find there was a padlock on door. She returns to employee who was still chating up a man, and asked for a key to door. Seemingly annoyed at the interuption, employee dropped a wooden stick with restroom key attached onto the counter, then she returned to talking to the man. My friend soon returned to car, told me there was no light in restroom and she could not see. She did manage to wet her hands, but the hand air dryer did not work. She almost fell in the darkness. She handed the key on a stick to me, and I went into the resturant. I lay the key back on counter by cash register. The employee yelled at me to get key off counter as it was gross. I asked where she wanted key? She responded with hand gesture and said, "At the garbage can." I complied. I mentioned to the one clerk, Cathleen, there was no light in the restroom. With her hands up in the air she sharply said, "I just work here. My bosses know about no lights and they are cheap, will not repair anything." I tried to ignore her attitude and ordered my three steak subs, even small talking with employee while she made my sandwiches. She said she had only been in Florida a month. I told her I was native, and had been eating at that sub shop since I was young. She coughed, not covering her mouth. I tried to ignore that, not wanting to make waves. Just before she steamed the first sub, I looked over to see she had put cheese on my sandwiches. I asked her to take cheese off. She gave me a sour look but did as I asked. Another customer came inside then, and employees attention turned to her, so she began making her sandwich. I finally got my three subs, paid the $42.47 and I took my sandwiches to the car where my companion and I shared one. The bun was so soggy from too much steam, we almost gagged, and we could not finish the sub. I knew the other two subs would surely not be eatable by the time we returned home. I noticed on my receipt, it said cheese steak. Since I had opted for no cheese, I went back inside to look at posted menue. At first the employee was no where to be seen. Then she came from back area. I mentioned that I was just checking menu's for pricing. I also mentioned how soggy buns were. Again she blamed that her, "cheap bosses" had set machine for one minute and one second and she has no control. I again said that she might mention to boss how soggy buns were. Among other insults, she then rudely said to me, "You have complained ever since you got here. Get out. You can just go back to where you came from!" I was livid and insulted by her remark to me. I said, "I am born and raised here. You need to learn how to speak to customers." She continued chastising me about the buns. I said you should give me 2 fresh buns the ones I was given are not good. She got really mad, saying she could not replace bad food, but would pay for my two buns. I said I will explain to her bosses as she should not be expected to pay for bad food. She continued with ringing up 2 buns for $2.00 each. I'm not sure if she put money in register, but she said with more anger that she did not make much money. She wrapped 2 buns, put them in a bag, dropped them on counter. I picked up bag, then I walked out. Our trip was ruined by her words. I am 70 years old and have been going out of my way, with my family (who has been in Florida since the late 1600's) to eat at that sub shop since it opened in 1969. I have never b

One of a kind sub shop that slowly is vanishing. I live far away and visit once a year for a special tasty sub. The place needs a total clean make over and in doing so maybe they can stay in business for years to come. But until then ill visit as i may. Thanks for not removing my sub from menue.
