I’m from Rhode Island and saw this on Facebook! I happened to be in Apopka this weekend and went there! It was very good! 3 of us dined - We had chowda and clam cakes, fish and chips, broiled seafood platter and a lobster roll (New England style). Every thing was good but if we go back (which I plan on) we would ask for less butter on broiled seafood platter - it was swimming in butter. I live in south Florida but have family here so I definitely plan on stopping in again! Also Jerry was our server and was on point with service!

I just ate at this restaurant for the first time yesterday and I found it to be outstanding! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the food was out of this world, and the atmosphere was very cute. They have large whole lobster, which is rare for any restaurant, including a five pounder. Everything was delicious. I can hardly wait to go back!

Disappointed in the quality of food and the speed of service. Especially when the fine dining prices were considered. The clams were gritty and not very flavorful.

The best service I’ve ever had. My husband and I came for a crab legs and were not disappointed. The managers, servers AND CHEF made us feel like the only people in the restaurant (and it was busy)! The manager even suggested stone crab for next time and brought us a sample with their in house mustard sauce served on ice. WOW!!

Went here for a birthday dinner. Was very excited to try the place with all the hype around it. Sadly were left disappointed. The oysters casino were 99% filling with maybe 1% shriveled up oyster to them. A broiled lobster for $65 that yielded basically zero actual lobster meat. And one drink for an out the door cost of $150+. The bathrooms were disgusting and in a state of disrepair. The server was nice but we were constantly having to tell other employees not to take our plates that were clearly not even half eaten yet. Bizarre. I don’t know if it used to be better and has fallen off. But I can’t see ever wanting to go back.

We got the New England Clam Chowder,The Ipswich Clams and the 2 ft lobster roll. Lobster Roll was insane. We got half cold with mayo and half with warm butter. Had to take half home.

Like many folks that relocate to Florida we tend to miss certain foods made a certain way. Today we discovered Nauti Lobstah (that is the correct spelling for a true New Englander). We started with a cup of Clam Chowduh, and bowl of Lobstah Bisque, both exactly as expected, perfect. My wife ordered Baked Stuff Lobstah and loved it. I got the Ipswitch Whole Belly Fried Clams (btw, the only way to get fried clams) and they were perfect, nice and big with the flavor explosion with every bite. We also had the opportunity to try the Stuffies that have Portuguese sausage in their ingredients, they tasted way beyond expectation. Our server was Megan, a wonderful young lady that is very attentive with a great personality, you could just tell she enjoyed working there. We also had the privilege of meeting Chef Mike, the creative genius that brought the flavor of New England seafood to Florida, he is truly a quality person and visits the dining room often to speak to his customers. Anyone wanting to taste authentic New England seafood, this is the place to get it. As a side note, bring an appetite, if not they will be more than happy to give you a togo container and your drinks to go.

EDIT: Thank you for your response, I figured it was someone who was clearing the tables but going a bit overboard. We have since been back a few times and had a wonderful time and excellent catfish fingerlings as always. Thank you.

I have loved this restaurant for who knows how many years, I used to go with my parents growing up when it was The Catfish Place and continued to go as an adult and later after it was sold since you could still get the catfish fingerlings and not too much seemed changed. I still love it but I had to remove a star because the last time I was there with a friend a month or so ago there was a lady who kept coming to our table and just standing there, I couldn't understand what she was saying, it seemed like she was waiting to collect empty dishes but she kept coming back over and over and just standing there, it was very strange and kind of ruined the end of our dinner for me as she just wouldn't stop coming over and standing there hovering right at our table. So I hope to not have this happen next time as we still love to go there for the fingerlings and other food and atmosphere. Thank you for keeping the old Catfish Place menu.

I don’t know what’s in the water at The Nauti Lobstah, but Jerry isn’t just a waiter — he’s a culinary superhero disguised in an apron. This man rolled up with a 2-foot lobster roll that looked like it could feed a small village or be used to patch a roof.

Halfway through our meal, a storm hit. Power went out. Before I could blink, Jerry lit a candle using pure charisma, finished taking orders from three tables, and somehow revived a lobster back to life just to say goodbye to it properly.

At one point, he refilled my drink before I even realized I finished it. I think he might see into the future. The lobster roll? Honestly, I’m still not convinced it wasn’t a hallucination brought on by divine crustacean energy.

If Jerry ever leaves this place, I’m following him — even if he becomes a magician, pastor, or deep-sea explorer.
