What a lil gem! I love this place. It has a very unique menu. The fried green tomatoes are excellent. To call it comfort food is an understatement. They even have kool aid. The coleslaw was uniquely refreshing. My mom is very particular and she was so impressed with this place. We are definitely coming back.

We have eaten both at the restaurant (ticked away in a little strip center in Apopka) and for catering for my son’s birthday. The food is delicious and Zach was great to work with. They make the best waffles and their veggie pot pie has so much flavor. Their chicken sandwich and handmade potato chips are also so good and portion sizes are big! Highly recommend them for catering and if you just want a great bite of freshly made stick to your ribs southern cooking.

This is a hole in the wall place, but omg, the service is like having family all over!!! The food was ok but I am sure that my choice may have been great but my daughter had great food. Mac N cheese is amazing. Cheesy grits were yummy!!! I will return. The service honestly is like you are visiting family . Bread pudding was sinfully delicious!!!

This was my first visit and I really enjoyed my time there. The food was ok, my biscuit was too dry and it was not as favorable. We had such a great time with the waitress, she was amazing so that compensated for the food. The Mac n cheese was great, and so was the bread pudding. Overall, it was a great place to enjoy time with friends. I will give it another shot.

Update 2024: Mashed Potatoes & Gravy $4 is yummy. Pot pie is nice $14.50It tastes similar and delicious like a lot of Southern cooking I have enjoyed at people's homes...This cafe is a real find in Apopka.Having eaten here a few times and trying different items of the down home menu, I can say I have liked everything.Chicken and dumplings are excellent (highly recommend getting mashed potatoes with it since, for me, it would have been too much of the same thing to just eat the chicken and dumplings) $17 for both.Mashed potatoes are very good and real of course.They offer a SIDE CAR meal that includes 3 side dishes. $8 (sides are normally $3/each)Had their cheesy grits which were good.The sauteed broccoli was Amazing! Tops!One recommendation for the cafe is to offer a small piece of bread ie: roll, biscuit, or cornbread with appropriate meals like the Side Car as it is customary in Southern cooking to do so (not the big piece you get for $3 as a side but 1/4 that size).They are doing a very good job adjusting everything for COVID.Hours 11am-8pmNot open Mondays.
