My husband had suggested we make the trek down to Safe Harbor to enjoy a meal and see what fresh seafood was available. We were taken care of quickly and our server apologized that they were out of their banana pudding. Our meals did not disappoint. We probably could have split one of the combo meals, but we both finished the shrimp and he finished his fish.
We had to go inside and order (we ate outside on the back deck) and the food was brought out to us. We got Conch Fritters, fishing sandwiches, and some gumbo- all were great and generously portioned. The tea refills were free, but you had to get your own (no biggie). We also had our dogs with us (another reason to eat on the deck) and they just watched the sea gulls be obnoxious. Good food, nothing fancy= a great lunch stop.
This was it. Fresh seafood. Great environment. Such friendly and down to earth staff. I’m not sure if he is owner but the jolly guy in the glasses. Gave me the mango habanero sauce. You are such an awesome person. Watching you interact with the veterans, civilian, elderly. You are honestly one of a kind. Such a loving and positive environment.
