Whits is a staple to the Jacksonville area. Every time I go to the beach, I visit whits! Their frozen custard is so creamy and you could do any mix-you can imagine. They also have some premade mix-in's classics for people who don't really decide that well on their own the waffle cones are always crisp and your order comes out so quick even though they have to mix it. For bases, there are always 3 options: vanilla, chocolate, and the daily changing special flavor! Highly recommend as the best frozen custard place in jax!

Run, don't walk, to Whit's! I'm a firm believer and follower of gelato and not big on custard or mixed in toppings, but this really surprised me. The custard is made of buttermilk, cream, and pasteurized egg, giving it a super silky yet thick texture. As your base of vanilla, chocolate, or the flavor of the day (which is different every single day), you can choose your toppings. Honestly, the choice was the hardest part. I got chocolate with snickers that they used a machine to mix, and the coldness actually ended up freezing the snickers a bit. Some of the chunks were a bit too hard for me to chew. I got a mini which felt like a large.

Frozen custard can mean a lot of things... This stuff is the real deal. It's rich, creamy, and just like heaven in a cup (or cone). Highly recommend this small shop in Atlantic Beach. There is really no place to sit or hang out (other than some benches outside), but the custard is absolutely top notch. The day I was there the special was peanut butter crunch fluff. Really good.

Delicious custard at reasonable prices! There was a reason for the line out the door on a weekend evening. We had the custard with peanut butter and cookie dough and the S'mores, both were excellent. A great dessert option!

Every flavor of the day is a creamy, delicious, delight! The teens that work there have always been kind, professional, and quick. We always look forward to the free taste of the flavor and one of us usually ends up ordering it. Each location has been clean and easy to find. We love the candy bar explosion and the blueberry cheesecake flavors but they're all simply delicious!

I go here every time they have the German chocolate cake ice cream because it's the BOMB! I wish I could buy it by the pint lol. This place is in a perfect location, easy to walk to, and they offer so many flavors and options! The only reason it's not 5 stars is because the staff is biter like you are a bother for going there. The first time I went I was like okay maybe the girl at the register is having a bad day but the more I go which is usually Sunday, it's always the same girl and she is NOT happy. It's really awkward because it feels like shes mad at you. I'm not sure if the owners know but she definitely doesn't like her job and it isn't a pleasant experience when she is taking your order. She won't smile, talk, nothing. I hope this gets seen so they can fix her attitude or find a happier person to work the register to make it a pleasant visit. If it wasn't icecream I'd order ahead just to avoid her.
