I love chicken strips and I eat them frequently. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed these! The grilled were great and the fried were delicious. The sauces for dipping were surprisingly awesome! We had magoo, garlic parmesan, lemon pepper and ranch. The coleslaw, fries and bread were very good. The ordering process was slow and our cashier seemed new. The wait was a bit long and the only table was not wiped down. The hot, delicious food really made me forget about all that. We will definitely be back.
After hearing lots of positives about the "new" Huey Magoo's, I was in Auburndale and decided to give it a whirl. First, it's not "in" Auburndale, it's a block from the Love's at I-4 and 559! (which is 11 miles north of downtown Auburndale). The store was virtually empty at noon in the Publix Shopping Center. It looks clean & sharp with a nice outdoor patio option. There were numerous smiling girls (at least 3) doing nothing behind the counter. After studying the menu I decided on the cheapest meal at 8.49, 3 tenders, fries with a sweet tea. The clerk shared the special was 4 tenders at 12.49. Since the 3 tender meal was already at 1000 calories, I didn't want to eat more and it still looked cheaper to get what I ordered (it wasn't, mine came to 12.49. A better marketing option would have been just to give me a bonus tender). The order came out so quickly and only warmer, I knew they were pre-cooked. Each (grilled) tender was no longer than my finger, the smallest being about 2 inches. I was really not interested in the fries nor the slice of bread but fast food typically does not sub out so I didn't ask for salad in place of fries. There were 4 sauces, I chose the thai-type chili sauce which was good. Calling their tenders the "filet mignon" of chicken was a stretch-at least in flavor. They were tender but not impressively so from anyone else's tenders. The fries were krinkle cut straight out of a bag no salt. The bread was lightly toasted on one side. I do like that calories are posted but 1000 is about the lightest option. Unsweet tea was as good as you make at home. Needed to use the restroom, it was locked for 25 minutes, then out comes a man who had locked himself in there to clean it apparently (why noon the supposed busiest time?) They have 2 large tip jars on the counter but you clean after yourself at the table and dump your own tray. I didn't see sense in tipping for no service beyond what they were paid to do. While I could've marked this a "3" experience at just "okay", the price for what you get does not measure up. I can go into any mom & pop local and get a healthier meal equally as fast, for less. Glad I tried it but once and done.

Excellent chicken, better than chick fila and PDQ. Will definitely be back! Staff was very polite and the restaurant was very clean. Prices are a bit high.

Definitely the Best Chicken in Polk County Hands down!! Definitely worth the money if you are looking for something cheap this place is not for you. The service here is great well kept up and clean.

The fries were hot and fresh but very skimpy in portion. My meal was just under $17 with 5 pieces of chicken two sides(toast and fries)and a drink. The service got three stars because when I was asked by management how was my meal I gave my opinion about the food and I voiced my opinion about the fries. The managers reply was oh I will talk the cooks. No, I'm sorry let me get you some more fries. Jus saying that little bit of customer service would have truly made a difference.

This was our first time ordering, and I'm very glad we selected this place for our Monday meal (I was being lazy on cooking).My Magoo salad was delicious, and my hubby ordered the chicken strips, fries with TX toast (of course I had to try one of his)? this is our new GO TO spot! Friendly service and great food!
Their sauced tenders are always a fan favorite. Too little amount of fries. Need more fries for sure. Their Buffalo wrap is fire .

I had chicken tenders and fries. I can’t say that they stand out from any other chicken place. I would compare them to a Zaxby’s, but a little less salty. The service is good but the tables were not cleaned very often.
