Me and my girlfriend used to come here all the time for breakfast until we kept seeing the owners had a very young girl working, I’m talking like 5 years old. She had her hands in her mouth the entire time and was touching peoples plates. My girlfriend, Evie, left an honest review of this about a month ago. Today we decided to get coffee from the Bean and as soon as we walked in we saw the little girl behind the counter with her hand in her mouth. The manager thought it was a good idea to confront us about her review and give us the excuse that the child is her own, so that somehow makes this less unsanitary and illegal. I think this lady needs to hire a babysitter, or take a basic food safety course, or perhaps look at the child labor laws. At least have the child in the lobby and not behind the counter. Disgusting and unprofessional.

We truly enjoy visiting The Bean at Ave Maria. The service and food are consistently excellent, and we greatly appreciate the warm, family-friendly atmosphere. The small-town charm adds to the overall welcoming experience.

If it hadn't been for JoJo I would have gotten up and left, the younger wait staff never acknowledge me. They saw me sitting at the table but never asked if I wanted anything. I have heard the same comment from others,

came here for the first time 3 years ago and it still lives up, definitely the best place for food in all of ave. staff right now is especially my favorite and the chef makes the best food!! :)

They had a little girl that looked about 6 years old helping the servers. Not only is this illegal (I am pretty sure) but it was insanitary because the girl kept putting her thumb in her mouth and then touching people’s plates. I don’t think I will be coming back.

This place was great! The food was fantastic the server was awesome. This will be one of our regular spots when we are in the area.

I was very pleased with the coffee

Sat and Sat and Sat. Had to go and find someone to help us after the host sat us down. Food was cold when it arrived and all I got was a pancake, and egg and a slice of bacon. Service was AWFUL. Just not somewhere I will visit again
