Great first time experience. I ordered the tripe and it did not disappoint! Fresh and traditionally made with all the fixings best part is they have a house made pepper sauce they serve with it that is superb! I'm talking just the right amount of heat with a huge kick of flavor. Customer service was pristine. Very courteous, I felt welcomed ( unlike the neighboring zacalo which left me feeling un helped and uneasy. ) If you desire good food with a home feel this is the place...
I've been blessed to have met Juan and his team at Malquerida. They are some of the humblest people you will ever meet.
Their taco's can go up against any tacos anywhere. They are that good. Their menu is diverse, but I have failed to find a dish that is not delicious.

I’ve had some really good tacos in the past . . . Nothing I’ve had before compares to the tacos I had here! And fresh guacamole! If this establishment has not been voted “best of” for Highlands County— it certainly should be! Great folks, atmosphere and food!
