“One of the best meals since we came down to florida for the winter. There were 6 of us and we all got something different and we all left very happy!! The cook comes out to talk to u, it was our 50th Anniversary and he sent out a dessert for us both. Delish!! It was our first time there and we will be back for sure!!”

“This place has the best authentic Mexican food in Avon Park. If you’re not sure about what to order ask to see the menu. The only thing is you have to walk up and order at the counter and wait for your order to be called. But very worth it!”

“We have never gotten any food from Mr. Brown that wasn’t mouth watering and delicious. He has the absolute best ribs, pulled pork, chicken, hamburgers and Philly cheesesteak. We haven’t tried his other foods, but I’m sure I’d feel the same about those as well. The staff are so sweet and kind never an impatient attitude from them. It will always be one of our go to places. I’ve told Mr. Brown he can never retire!!”

“Nothing like great diner food. Ate there for a breakfast and lunch. For lunch I had a fish fry, so good not greasy and not tons of batter, perfect. For breakfast I had biscuits and gravy, eggs excellent.”

“Had fried pickles, gator tail, garlic shrimp, fried okra, hamburger, fries. As an old red neck let me say.... the gator was the best I have ever had.....none of that fishy taste. My grand son and I ate every morsel.”

“Amazing array of flavors and treats! The customer service is awesome in this small ice cream shop. We've been there a few times and every time we have a great family time. There are highchairs for my baby, and paper towels at every table. My kids love the cow themed paint job and always excitedly point them out while digging into their treat. The price is so reasonable and they have seasoned themed treats! I just tried the pumpkin roll creation and I have dreams about it now, yum! Get your ice cream in a colored waffle cone, each with its own flavor. My husband is determined to try each one. This is our new favorite shop and it's right here, in downtown Avon Park. How did we get so lucky!”

“Cute little place, seems to be a local owned and run business. The beef patties are exactly what i needed them to be, not overly spicy (looking at you goldenkrust with a giant scotch bonnet left in whole) and not overly salty. We went around noon and it was about a 15 minute wait to get 2 patties, so don't expect to be in and out quickly during busy times. Cute seating area and don't squish the bread.Coming back for the goat, I love kijan nou fe sos viand cabrit and other goat dishes so curry goat with rice and peas has me in a lock. Can't wait to try this place again.”

“Got the double dive with sauteed mushrooms and onions I messed up tho and added another patty ugh so good beautiful clean atmosphere well portioned burgers not greasy very flavorful will definitely be returning awesome staff friendly and up beat thank you for a great ”

“The owner is a hoot and came out to greet us and get a picture with all of us (motorcycle rider group). The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant itself is a little older, but the food is all top knotch and reasonably priced. We will definitely be going back.”

“Amazing, authentic, home cooked Haitian food with a very warm Haitian atmosphere!I spent 5 months in Haiti and had the best home cooked food daily. I can't get Haitian food where I live in Arizona, so as soon as I got to visit my dad in Avon Park, I looked for a Haitian restaurant. I was surprised to see this so close and had to try. It did not disappoint!! So delicious, flavorful, authentic, and even nostalgic for me. I brought my dad who has never had real ethnic food from any other country... he loved it and will be back once I leave!”

“Came in for lunch on a Thursday about 1 PM.They were not very busy and maître d’ had us seated right away.Our waiter was named Kelan.He was friendly and prompt with everything.My wife ordered a crab salad sandwich with fries. It was large and flavorful. It had pickled onions and some avocado I think.I ordered a mahi- mahi sandwich grilled with fries. It was large but needed a little something as it was slightly dry.The fries for both of us were splendid!”

“Very fast service, basic for dining in but the food was delicious! Fried dumplings and Chicken and broccoli in garlic sauce! Recommend (down visiting sister and looked up Chinese food and found this gem!)”

“Great Mexican food fast and good. Family run Taqueria nice atmosphere though the service at times can have a little bit of sass. The people who work here work hard and maybe it was just the day or the owner as they may have been short staffed or just overwhelmed by the current economy. The prices reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get for real authentic Mexican flavor. And if you enjoy Mexican Taqueria food definitely worth a stop.”
