Best Jamaican food in Avon Park!!
Get there before 4pm
The only place I have been going to for my Jamaican food. The flavors are GREAT, serve enough, always hot, the rice it’s cooked throughly so it’s soft not crunchy, the atmosphere is relax, they have their busy times but it only show how good they are, friendly staff, you won’t regret it!

Islands Choice is a local, family-owned restaurant that offers a delightful Jamaican food experience. The beef patties are flavorful, with the right amount of spice and salt, and the goat dishes, such as the curry goat with rice and peas, are highly recommended. The restaurant's ox tails are another popular choice, known for their perfect seasoning and fresh ingredients. The sides, including rice, steamed cabbage, and cabbage salad, are also highly praised. The drinks are cold and refreshing.
The seating area is cozy, but there may be a short wait during busy hours. The chicken with rice and beans, small lettuce salad, and the Jerk Pork Dinner with Rice Peas and Cabbage are also praised for their wonderful flavor. The co-owner, Ms. Wanda, is super friendly and gives that warm, welcoming island hospitality that makes the experience even better. Overall, Islands Choice is a great spot for an authentic Jamaican meal with generous portions and reasonable prices.
