If I could score a negative 50, I would. My daughter was married on Feb. 10th, 2024 and this catering company was hired for over $8,000. It was the worst meal and service I have ever witnessed and experienced in my life. In my previous career prior to teaching, I worked as a wedding coordinator and as an event planner for wedding receptions, art auctions, fundraising events, political gatherings, birthdays, corporate dinners and funerals. Never in all of my dining experiences have I witnessed and tasted such bad food, Unsanitary handling of food and unprofessionalism. I am not a person who is critical of new businesses and start up companies who may falter in the beginning but over time with experience and feedback they improve and at the very least try their best. Unfortunately with this caterer they scored an F- on every level. The list of failures is so long, I will try to keep it brief, But I felt that people needed to be made aware of the practices of this catering company before someone gets sick And dies from food poisoning.1.Meals were stone cold.2. No bread or salads were served.3. No condiments were provided. None.4. Clean up did not happen, (My daughter and her husband stayed at the venue after reception ended and had to spend hours cleaning up).5. Staff was unsupervised and highly unprofessional. At one point the staff was playing the owners antique guitar that was hung on the wall, they had the nerve to do this without permission of owner and had to be told to put it down - And when questioned as to why, they thought they could handle an antique vintage guitar without permission, they gave my daughter attitude.6. No gloves were worn when staff was dishing out food. Gloves were worn during the preparation.7. No serving spoons for staff to handle food items, so staff used a paper plate to scoop out food from trays And on the Makeshift appetizer table.wner was not present until my daughter voiced her concerns regarding quality of food, unsafe handling of food and unsanitary methods being used to improperly serve and maintain heat to food. All food was stone cold and not fresh.9. Beans were not fresh - they were from a can.10. Chicken breast was a small roundish hard dried out cold breast and not seasoned in any way. Did not look safe to eat.11. Prime Rib was cold, all fatty, no au jus was served with it. No seasoning at all. Just a gray slab of old meat. They looked like fatty slabs of meat piled on top of eachother in a pan. Not fit for a dog let alone bride, groom and wedding guests.12. Mashed potatoes were cold and it was evident they were instant potatoes- not fresh. There was no butter nor gravy for the instant mashed potatoes.13. No clean up or removal of plates. Staff basically disappeared after they were spoken to by myself, my husband, the bride and the groom when we voiced our concerns about the quality of the food. No one asked if the guest needed anything or if anything was missing. It was terrible.14. Caterer was unprepared - did not bring proper cooking, serving pans or heating equipment To keep the food, sanitary and fresh.15. Scallops had been sitting out in an uncovered pan. Were not cooked properly- bacon was not fully cooked, scallops were mush and no presentation at all. Nothing was covered, staff walking around, touching things, coughing touching their hair no one brought hand sanitizer. No one washed their hands, and no one wore gloves.16. Shrimp was cold - there was no cocktail sauce, nothing- shrimp and scallops were stored together- cross contamination was a definite possibility. People were told not to eat it. Shrimp and scallops had been sitting out for an undetermined amount of time. There was nothing to serve any of the appetizers people were just sticking their hands into it to fish out an appetizer- totally gross and unsanitary.17. Staff were seen eating the food and hoarding and keeping pieces of prime rib and shrimp for themselves In the office of the venue (Ibanez Gardens). Setting was impeccable . We worked with Jessica and her team at last nights wedding. We are a wedding planning company. (Everlasting occasions,llc). We have worked with all different catering companies. But we can truly say that Pink Pineapple is the absolute Best! Jessica and her team care so much. They come together no matter what titles we have.Their charcuterie board was outstanding. If you are looking to decide who to use for your next event or gathering look no further they are the ones. You will not regret it.

I attended an event catered by the pink pineapple The food was not good I would rate it Below average It seemed as if the hot food tasted and looked as if it had been cooked the day before and reheated the day of the event There were overdone and dry mini quiches and overly browned and dry pigs in the blanket both were terrible Of the cold items The fruit salad had an odd floral flavor The chicken salad was poorly seasoned the deviled eggs tasted like yolks and mayo nothing else The spinach dip , while it looked unappetizing, tasted the best of everything served I did not eat the salad Attending the party was a retired restaurant owner and chef who also told me the food was far below par. The staffing were very nice and helpful ladies . That was the best part. I would not recommend the pink pineapple under any circumstances.

Pink Pineapple recently catered an event for my family. I have never left a Facebook review like this before especially to local Sebring/Highlands County companies. But due to the unprofessional response from Pink Pineapple, I feel I have no choice. Although I was not the person to hire Pink Pineapple, I was participating in hosting the event. We had food items that were overcooked and although edible, not great, such as spinach dip and pigs in the blanket. Most of the food was mediocre at best. However we did enjoy the deviled eggs and salad. Many guests also enjoyed the chicken salad and quiche, although I found them to be mediocre at best. Staff was overall professional but seemed unsure of items that were agreed to previously in discussion with Pink Pineapple. My family member who hired her addressed the problems in a follow up email and Pink Pineapple declared all the complaints to be null and void. She responded with “None of the pigs in the blanket were burnt” “I was never told about any bugs. The raspberries were properly washed and no bugs came from my ingredients” “I had 5 events that weekend. It’s hard for me to keep up with everyone”. These were only a few of the legitimate complaints that were made, but others included missing items requested and her (not staff) being rude to guests that were helping with the event. Also she claimed that the complaints could not be valid because she has only ever had one other complaint in the past. Probably a true statement, however, this event was not stellar.

Jessica to the rescue! We needed our grand opening catered quickly and within a day she was able to provide us with a beautiful spread that wowed everyone. Her attention to detail was spot on. We appreciate her and her company the pink pineapple very much and we’re happy to of had her food as part of our grand opening. We will be referring her and using her again for our events.

I was visiting from out of state and my son thought a nice big charcuterie board would go over great with friends and family - she was in time didn’t mind a little audience and worked her magic! What a wonderful company, she did some special items for the kids and again, prompt courteous and all around fantastic!! Can’t wait to use them again!

My husband and I are extremely happy with Pink Pineapple Catering!! Jessica is so friendly and easy to talk to. She was available and willing anytime we had any questions. As you can see in the pictures our charcuterie table was extremely BEAUTIFUL! Her placement and creativity was everything. As soon as the guest arrived to our wedding they couldn’t stop talking about how classy and beautiful the table looked. It was perfect to have this service since it was used for cocktail hour. While my husband and I were taking our pictures after the ceremony, the guest were busy admiring and eating the delicious foods she had prepared for us. You will not regret booking Jessica and her services!!!
