Phenomenal experience tonight as first time guests! The food was great, family friendly, service was good and everyone was friendly! As a Jersey girl, northern diners were the only thing I’ve missed since moving to Bartow a decade ago. Now I have my slice of the north east right here in our sweet town!

Calm and welcoming atmosphere, food was served quick and accurate to my request! I was skeptical of the new look and a few old Mike’s items being gone, but the new soups and the delicious, big, perfectly cooked shrimp I had assuaged my fears. Hannah was a delight as a server! Personable, knowledgeable, made great suggestions and kept on top of the service itself. I’ll be back!

What happened to Mike’s?? I was so disappointed with this restaurant. The only thing decent about it was the service that we received. She was very attentive but almost two much so coming back to check on us what seemed like every 60 seconds. The only thing hot about the breakfast was the coffee . The eggs were cold, pancakes were cold and overcooked. The butter wouldn’t even melt on them bc it was hard as a brick and like I said , pancakes were cold. The sausage tasted like a piece of rubber that had been soaked for three days in black pepper. The hashbrowns were bland and overcooked and if that’s not bad enough, my mother, whom I was there with along with my son, has a scent allergy and there must’ve been 5 different products being sprayed at the same time that was overwhelmingly strong. These were being sprayed every 30 seconds ! All 5 of them! They had a very strong perfume like smell!! So strong in fact that it caused my mother to have an asthma attack and prevented her from being able to breathe. When I stopped one of the waitresses to tell them that the scents they were spraying were causing my mother to have an allergic reaction and asthma attack she stated that they were “working on the plumbing” and that the smell from the plumbing was worse than the smell of the sprays” “no offense but we’re just keeping it clean” How rude! And to show absolutely no concern for or respect towards a customer who is PAYING to be at your restaurant! I will be posting in on numerous sites and making everyone aware of this and advising that they do not visit this horrendous place! I only gave one star because there is no option to put a -10.

I used to come to Blue Ridge when it was called Mike's once a week! Amazing small town vibes kept me coming back! They used to give you a veggie of the day it could be a soup it could be chili, something that you were getting for free which was such a small town thing! Absolutely felt so appreciated and it kept me coming back! They also used to give bread rolls as soon as you sat down, now you just get what you pay for! Which is our ideal because most restaurants are like that. The service now is still good! Everyone is still super friendly, but the food took a turn for the worst! I can only order steak here because I have not liked any of the other items that I have ordered, each time I have come I've regretted it I am not sure why I keep coming back, most restaurants will offer to swap something out if you don't like it, not this place they make you pay for it! It's just not giving small town vibes, just gives more of like a corporate, we need to make money vibes . Bartow does not have many restaurants but this is the one restaurant I did enjoy when I felt like they cared more about their customers and they wanted to repeat customers. Me being a server! I definitely hold high standards when it comes to trying to have your guest be satisfied and not just apologizing for something that they don't like! . Before Mike was always in the building and he would check on every table. Needless to say I recommend going there once and if you like it go back! But the food definitely has changed from before and I am not a fan.
